Hi. I guess you have never been to an interview before here in PR. It was in San Patricio Office Center in Guaynabo. No it was not crowded but I was the first one so don't know if it got crowded later. The people there are very nice don't worry. The Oath said it's going to be there or in some Court...Federal Court probably...don't know yet and the CO didn't know to tell me either. Good luck.

Oh thanks so much. I know someone who had his oath in beautiful old san juan, he had a beautiful ceremony there. It would be great if we both had the opportunity to have the oath ceremony on the same day, though I doubt it given the difference in application dates, but it would be nice. Keep us posted when your oath letter date and place arrives.

Right, sounds great. I just got an email saying my interview has been scheduled. So expecting to have the interview within a month or so.

Hello everybody!!

I had my Interview yesterday and I passed!!!! It was very easy. In 25 min I was out. Yes is true, my CO was talking very very fast but that was no problem for me. She started with the reading and writing part, then the questions and then the Form and some other questions not from the Form like how I met my husband, about my family, where my husband works. Then she told me I passed and asked if I speak Spanish. I said I do and then we started talking in Spanish. And that's it. Now I am waiting for the Oath Ceremony. Let's see how long it will take for that letter to arrive. Good luck to everyone else!

Well, my husband is now a US citizen. :D It was a very nice ceremony (although we had to wait a long time for it to start). There were 78 nations represented and the ceremony itself took about an hour. My husband registered to vote on the spot, but the line for the passport application was too long, so he will take care of that later this week.

Thank you to this site and to everyone on this thread for your support and encouragement (especially Calypso for always updating our statuses and keeping us on track. :D ).

Best wishes to everyone waiting for their interviews and/or oath ceremonies. I will be checking in, hoping to see all red on this thread very soon.

Well, my husband is now a US citizen. biggrin.png It was a very nice ceremony (although we had to wait a long time for it to start). There were 78 nations represented and the ceremony itself took about an hour. My husband registered to vote on the spot, but the line for the passport application was too long, so he will take care of that later this week.

Thank you to this site and to everyone on this thread for your support and encouragement (especially Calypso for always updating our statuses and keeping us on track. biggrin.png ).

Best wishes to everyone waiting for their interviews and/or oath ceremonies. I will be checking in, hoping to see all red on this thread very soon.

Calypso, a huge favour.. can you please update my husband's status into red. With the new site format, I am trying to make the change, but it's not working. I don't want to ruin the thread. Thanks! smile.png

I don't know any other way to remove the quotes but what I do is I place the cursor before the first letter of the timeline post that I've copied, hit delete a few times until I see the quotes cleared, and then start editing. Just try next time when you're around to edit anyone's info. wink.png

Hello My wife had her Citizenship Ceremony yesterday 14 May 2013. She had the interview 7 May 2013.

Why an extra step is beyond me but I can not update timeline. Good luck to all that have not had their interview or ceremony yert and to all those still in the process. It was a very long journey to get to this point and I am so Proud of my wife. She stuck with every step and spent hours studying for the N400 interview. It has been 4 years and 3 months since my wife arrived in the USA on a K-1 Visa.

She got her USA passport application submitted today and as soon as we receive it we will be going to the Philippine Embassy in Wash Dc for her to take the Dual Citizenship OATH to retain her Philippine Citizenship. Then on the the social security office to update her status there.

I've also removed the whole statement "I'm a United States Citizen" after the field office because some usernames are too long to fit everything in a single line.
