My husband had his interview this morning in the Lawrence, MA office. Everything went well and he received the date for his oath (12 June, it must the same ceremony GhanaMade will be attending). He will try to write a review of his interview, but in the meantime I am updating our case status.

I apllied for my wifes Citizenship and on April 15th USCIS website is saying

On April 15, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling.

But I still havent received any interview dates? Does anyone know how long it takes. By the way the fiel office is Newark NJ

OK, had my interview yesterday. Was VERY straight forward. Had 6 questions to start, answered all correctly (yay me lol). Then the English tests, again easy. She went through all my application and asked all the questions again, had to give her my green card, passport and DL at the start. Signed loads of papers, then she talked about the oath with me. Asked me a few questions about my beliefs in the constitution and how serious taking the oath is, might have been small talk, she was a very serious woman.... she nearly cracked a joke, ok maybe not. I was literally in and out in 20 minutes. Gave me a form saying that she recommended me for approval and said I should get my letter very soon for the oath ceremony.

It's all nearly over..............

Congratulations! Sounds like you had a different IO than my husband. Glad it was a success! I'm not sure exactly where you live, but if you are in the Richmond area, the next ceremony is on May 15th! Hope you get your oath ceremony letter soon!

Does anyone know how far out they schedule interviews? I received notification yesterday that I was scheduled for an interivew. I may have to re-arrange some flights based on when the interview date is.

Just got text and email that the interview has been scheduled. One small issue is that we have a trip planned for the last 2 weeks of May.

Does anyone know how far out they schedule interviews?

Also, would it look negative if we asked for it to be rescheduled?

Please refer to our most recent group timeline to get an idea. Look up members who are in the same field office as yours. star_smile.gif Usually interviews are set about a month from the day they notify you that your interview has been scheduled.
