Just received the infamous yellow letter for my state-issued driver's license and nothing else, which is surprising since I only submitted 2 years of tax transcripts.

Hopefully this means interview notice soon!

Make sure you have them for the interview just in case they do end up asking for them in person.

My husband's interview letter arrived today. His interview is scheduled on Monday May 6th at 9:27 AM at the San Diego Federal Office. That 9:27 is a bit odd, not sure why it isn't 9:30 or 9:25, but we won't question anything. :lol:

The only issue is that I may not be able to accompany him to the interview, as I am a teacher and that is the week we begin the state and federal mandated testing, so it may be difficult for me to take time off. I have to check with my principal next week and see what she thinks. I don't want my possible absence at my husband's interview create an obstacle for his citizenship.

Your husband will be fine going alone.

All he has to do is explain the above and they will understand. It really isn't practical that everyone can go along with their spouse. I went without my husband, explained he was in training that he couldn't get out of and it wasn't questioned.

Just recieved a yellow letter Today that States: THIS IS NOT AN INTERVIEW LETTER. However, an interview letter will be scheduled soon. They wanted me to bring a record of my dismissed and expunged record of my arrest. But there is no interview date or change in the online service

Is the yellow letter a bad sign

From what I've read they're fairly standard for N-400 applications. All it means is that they want a specific document at the interview - tax transcripts/returns, drivers license, court records, etc.

It also means that your application is being looked at and moved around :)

My husband hasn't received the yellow letter--yet. He just got the interview appointment letter with the standard documents checklist. It doesn't mean he won't get the yellow letter, though. In fact, we anticipate some sort of request for court/police records as we checked the box for being "detained/cited" (two traffic tickets-both cleared through traffic school and paid for). We'll see. As it is, we have put together a huge binder with all kinds of proofs and evidence, just in case. :D
