And do they usually schedule the interview a month after I get it or wks

It depends on your local office. What they have available and if they only schedule on certain days or certain times of the month. No one can really give you an exact answer for this. You will have to wait and find out from your letter.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

Inky, was your interview letter sent from Lee's Summit, Missouri just like the NOA and the biometric notice? unsure.gif Did your status on the USCIS website state that they sent an interview letter or it only stayed "in line for interview" until you got the letter?

My interview letter came from Nebraska Service Center so did my biometric notice and noa 1.

My USCIS status changed to " in line for interview " after biometrics and then updated again and said " you have been assigned an interview date etc " the next day. Then I got the letter in the mail a few days after.

Just went on USCIS this is the exact status update it gave me when I got the second text / update after being inline " On March 13, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service. "

Biometrics done!! The Omaha office was super efficient. I showed up 30 minutes early since I had to drop the kids off to my husband. He works right down the street from the office so it worked out perfectly for us. Showed the security guard my letter and ID, was directed to the office and was done in 10 minutes. They gave me the study guide and wished me good luck. :)

Now to wait for the interview letter!! :)

Yes it is! They opened the new office shortly after I moved here, but before I ever had to go into the office. I know where the old office was in Millard and it was a much more dark and "typical government looking" office. :P

Thanks. So it looks like my interview letter will come from Lee's Summit then. My online status still says "in line" and not yet "scheduled for interview."

My husband received the same email on Friday, and we can't wait to get the letter! Hope it arrives this week.

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

Hmmm!? :blink: I just got another email saying that I have been scheduled for an interview also dated March 19. So hopefully I'll get a letter with a date.

I guess it's time to study the book and CD...on top of my five classes this semester. :whistle: Should be interesting.

Fingerprint appointment round 2 was today.

The woman doing my finger prints said they were too weak due to my 'soft skin' and that they would be rejected by FBI (2 of the fingerprints couldn't get a clear reading at all, let alone the others that 'passed' but the two were rejected).

She said I'd get a letter requiring me to get police clearances from any place I'd lived in since arriving in the USA.

We're thinking of abandoning it now, we don't need this stress before we move to Germany with the military, and no way will it be through before we leave now despite being expedited. We might just take the normal course of ROC and citizenship while in Germany, which would mean I can do it all over there and not have to fly back to the USA for the oath etc.

Pretty disappointing, but such is life and trying to realise that it must mean something.

Wow everyone seems to be getting inline for interview updates quickly. I had my fingerprints done on 3/11 and no change to my status yet. Hopefully soon.
