My husband completed his biometrics today. His appointment was at noon, but he got there early and they took his fingerprints right away. He said it was very fast. They gave him the CD and book to study for the citizenship test (although he has been doing that for a while through an app he downloaded onto his tablet).

The waiting game begins now for the interview date.

I hope your husband gets interviewed very soon. biggrin.gif I'm considering a walk-in biometrics this week although my appointment is on Friday next week.

Well, bad news for me.

My fingerprints were unreadable. I apparently had a letter sent to have my fingerprints retaken to my old address - which I never got.

Now I have to wait for another fingerprint notice to be sent out, doesn't look like it will be through before we leave the USA now.

The worst part is I would never have known had I not called to check up on my case because my online status is stuck on initial review!

So - lesson learned, call to check up if things aren't moving as they should!

That really sucks! do you know why they weren't readable? The machine usually says accepted or not for the fingers, if they were accepted and then they said unreadable that would be odd!

I'm not sure, she didn't say! Just that they came back from the FBI as unreadable and that they'd need to be done again.

I hadn't had fingerprints taken by a service center before, this was a first. I had them taken manually by police in Australia when I needed my police check run, and by the embassy in NZ, and also obviously at border control and there were never any issues.

Just was unlucky this time I guess!

Wholy pain in the aZZ. I hope you can get your letter fast and do an early walk-in like last time.

The woman doing my finger prints had told me womens finger prints are sometimes harder because "the lines are closer together" not sure if thats true but maybe that could of been an issue?

She had a problem doing mine when they took the 4 fingers together - it kept saying I was missing a finger the first 3 trys when I wasn't! lol

Went for my fingerprints yesterday. I arrived about an hour early and they took me right in and didn't make me wait until my appointment time.

I submitted my Wifes N-400 form and she got 2 letters back.

1 was the Biometric appointment

but the seond one states "Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the address or phone number listed below if there are any changes"

My question is does everyone get this letter and what do i need to do with it do i have to reply back to them or just leave it
