AOS Concurrent Filimg - One or two packages?

Hello,

I read everywhere that you need to have two stand-alone packages (one for the I-130, and one for the I-485) inside your big AOS envelope. That means that your concurrent AOS package will contain 2 birth certificates, 2 G325a for each person, etc.

But I just asked my lawyer, and he said that they always put the two application (I-130 and I-485) together. They put the forms first, then each supporting documents.

What do you guys think? I saw people threatening that you will get RFEs if you don't separate the two forms and provuide 2 copies of each supporting doc.

Thanks.

If you read the instructions, you will see that only one of those forms requires birth certificates.

I think if you paid money for a lawyer, you should put your brain where yer money is.

Just checking: has ANYBODY sent their I-130 and I-485 COMBINED, i.e., stapling together all the forms, and then providing one copy of each piece of evidence?

Thanks!

Better separate each application with their own set of required documents in my own opinion. Your lawyer's solution seems too messy to me. Even worse is stapling 2 different form applications together!

Prepare each application as if they were separated, and then use big paper clips to separate them in your package.

- I-130 + documents needed

- I-485 + docs needed

- I-765, etc...
