hi

my local office was Cleveland..transfered to CSC approved with no interview...

i filled tripled checked everything even sent in 3 years of tax returns which i didnt have to because we sent in the I-864EZ..i also included my extention approval of my I-129f from sydney and i aslo photo copied all my passport pages...and when i copied the I-94 i copied it showing my visa in my passport on the same page...

as was said before they transfer the ones that are likely to be the easy ones to approve quickly..but then again there has been people who once being transferred have received RFE's also...and from backlogged district offices...

and as for the interview at lifting conditions ..i was prepared that would happen anyways so its no big deal..it just saved us a 2 hour journey to cleveland office and probably in the snow season too lol

take care and good luck russ ...

good luck!

if we have to interview later to remove conditions, thats fine with me. by then we'll have been married 2 years and have an abundance of evidence to throw at them. :D

We applied for AOS a year after we were married and we got an RFE from St Louis for more Tax info. We were still transferred to CSC, but now we are waiting for the name check. Out local office would have been San Bernandino CA.

There is no ryhme or reason. The only thing I can think of is that they are a self sustaining agency and they finally figured out that the les time they spend approving the more money they have. Look at the pilot program in Texas where you can get AOS over the counter with an infopass appt.

Its this FBI Name check thing that really irritates me, if my wife were a terrorist or whatever, dont you think they would want to know that before a visa is issued prior to entering the county on the K1.

A note to all US Citizens, please get nvolved with your elected officials, we need to make this a logical process. I would not mind if it took longer initially, just to make the process easier.

Enough ranting.

I had every thing they asked for plus other information and we had an interview. Our case was very straight forward and we submitted our paperwork 60 days for hubby arrived. I think it is just the luck of the draw.

What exactly has been done to avoid an interview? Bruce and I are planning on sending off our paperwork within the next couple of weeks (we're getting married next Friday) and I want to include everything I can in order to make the whole process as painless as possible.

Just send what they ask especially the Tax W2/1040 to avoid RFE as well. In my case I've attached my husband's deployment order.

IN MY OPINION, I think they approved it if there is enough proof and no problem in FBI background checks. And if the tax or husband's capability to support her wife, so that it will not be a burden to US governement.

I just found this in a post from a member in the thread about CSC transferees:

Some U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) customers may

receive a

receipt or transfer notice from the CSC for cases they filed with local

District

Offices in the USCIS Eastern Region or with the National Benefits Center.

This

is occurring because, in the context of backlog elimination, some cases that

are

unlikely to require an interview have been transferred from district offices

with longer backlogs to the CSC where there is greater existing

adjudications

capacity. These transfer notices reflect receipt by the CSC of a case that

has

been transferred there to be adjudicated, rather than original receipt of

the

case by USCIS. For newly filed cases, customers may receive their first

receipt

notice from the CSC, rather than the National Benefits Center or the

District

Office.

Please allow 180 days before inquiring in reference to the status of these

cases. For additional information, contact the National Customer Service

Center

at 1-800-375-5283.

Thank You

James A Williams

Center Adjudications Officer

Div XII, California Service Center

Thisn wouls pretty much seem to answer this thread's original question. Now we'll all have to wait and see if the transferees get interviewed at the 2 year mark.

Transferring is sometimes good but can be depressing if you end up having to watch people who filed way after you get approved with no update on your own case :( Especially when CSC never acknowledges they got your case so you have no idea where it might be!

I was sure I had read on a very, very old thread that the 90 day rule is strictly applied to K1 marriage after entry to the US but not so much on AOS where unofficially they may be inclined to give you up to 180 days to apply.

Our K2 arrived in June 2005 and we sent off application for AOS in January 2006 and were approved without interview.

Perhaps MDyoung, Yodrak or Aussiewench can verify the limit for AOS as they seem to have better memories and abilities to find old threads!
