Does anyone know for whether all of the cases that were approved without interviews alll applied with the 90 day time period? Just wondering if there's a chance that it's not just that, but maybe something else as well....

We were a couple days late.

Edited to say we haven't been approved yet, but we have (supposedly, no notice of CSC receiving it) been transferred to CSC.

What exactly has been done to avoid an interview? Bruce and I are planning on sending off our paperwork within the next couple of weeks (we're getting married next Friday) and I want to include everything I can in order to make the whole process as painless as possible.

Just send what they ask especially the Tax W2/1040 to avoid RFE as well. In my case I've attached my husband's deployment order.

IN MY OPINION, I think they approved it if there is enough proof and no problem in FBI background checks. And if the tax or husband's capability to support her wife, so that it will not be a burden to US governement.

I heard that maybe one doesn't have an interview if their disctrict office is swamped which is when they send it to CSC but who knows...

Cases transferred to CSC and being approved with no interview appear to be cases sent to CSC from heavily backlogged district offices.

Our local office would have been Chicago and my understanding there are backlogged there ... I was transfered to CSC and have since been approved ...

OK, so after a little digging, I found someone who was transferred to CSC who did NOT apply within 90 days...and their district is the same as ours, Norfolk, VA! WOO-HOO! There's hope afterall!

You sure your local office would have been Chicago or was that just where you sent your initial AOS package ... The reason I ask this is because I noticed your I-129f went through Vermont and Illinois is not in Vermont's jurisdiction ...

I guess the easier question would have been ... Where do you live ??

We applied after about 60 days

Our Service center would have been Vermont (we are in Pennsylvania) sent the AOS application almost four months after the 90 days expired to Chicago lockbox on 10-04-06, transferred to CSC and was approved on 11-07-06 without an interview.
