I received the interview letter for my wife yesterday. Everything looked fine except when I was reading the information about the medical exam it said something about waiting until after your first interview to get the exams done so they don't expire before your second consular interview. How many interviews do you have to do? The Embassy she will be going to is in Accra, Ghana. I haven't read anything anywhere that says two interviews. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

I think that is very interesting because I have my interview letter for my husband and it says nothing like that. I know that you have to have your medicals done before your interview and that they are valid for six months. If they is a second interview, it would be if your case goes to AP which is a review of your case. Pray that you never go to AP ever. There is only one interview.

Our interview in Ghana is 3/13/13. You have one interview if you are approved. So my advice is to get the medical exam now, and if a second interview is needed and falls past the expiration date of the exam, just have her get another exam done. If you don't have that medical exam on the first interview they will deny you. (This is our second filing)

I don't know about your consulate, but most of the time it seems they want the medical results at the time of the interview. Perhaps Ghana is different that way?
