Congratulation to everyone.

I moved and changed my address, and so I called and talked to a Tier2, since neither the AR form, nor the first line could help me out. He told me my file is still at NBC, so I guess I am among the lucky ones that got to wait. I am hoping that by Christmas I will have my GC, tho you never know with immigration.

Anyone else in the same boat with me?

Yup. Right here :(

Last heard from USCIS when they received my response to their RFE. I've had no news in two months, so I'm assuming my file will stay at the NBC. I'd much rather get an interview and be done with it than wait forever, but whatever. At least with the EAD/AP card you can have a fairly normal life anyway. Now back to job hunting :)

Hi you all. just wanted to guys let you know that this morning at 7:15 a.m. I have received an online update with my new interview date for June 4th. I feel relieved, but holding back being happy cause I never know when they send me a cancellation notice again. I really hope it won't happen and my hubby and I can really start the count down for that date.

If the interview cancellation happens to any of you don't read all those post about not receiving a new date for a year. Because that made my life miserable. I was very depressed for a week or so. It was really horrible. You can see it on my timeline it took them 8 days since the notice to send me a new date.

I really wish all the best for you guys who have their interview date during May and would appreciate all the shares on the interview experience.

Hi Baba1313.... April AOS filer here... I also got a notificaton about my interview being cancelled. Reading up online in old posts some people are recommending you still show up at your old interview time "just in case". Horror stories out there about people not going to the cancelled time and then their application being thrown out because they were "no shows". What do you think? Wasn't sure if you had more info on this.

Hi there. I am so sorry it happened to you as well. Horrible feeling:( I was crying the whole day. Well I immediately contacted with my lawyer when I got the update online and she said she will look into it. Next day I got the actual cancellation letter in the mail. My lawyer called me and told me that she got two more cancellation letters for that day with other clients that she had. She talked someone at the local office and they said that they have some kind of officer training going on at the beginning of May so they cancelled all their interviews.

My opinion is if you only get the notice online and never receive the actual letter in the mail you should show up anyways cause the online update thing is not always accurate. If you get the actual cancellation letter in the mail at least you have the proof of the cancellation. I heard and the same thing happened to me that they usually will reschedule you before the actual cancelled interview happens so you will have a new date.

Took them 8 days for me to send me a new interview date which is almost a month later than the actual date. So we are still waiting for our interview and keeping our fingers crossed hoping no more cancellation happens.

Hope this helps and good luck to you.

I so wish I have gotten the interview.

In other news, my case number finally shows up online, showing my request to change the address. It is in Initial Review stage.

Did I hear right, that we are going to be adjudecated based on the timelines of our local offices? Seems doubtful for some reason.

Mmmm... I have no idea, but honestly I don't see a reason why the NBC should pay attention to the timeline of everyone's local office and adjudicate accordingly. Maybe I'm wrong though, who knows.

Was it a pain to change your address? How did you do it? I might have to do it as well in the next few months.

Big pain. I tried to do it online, there are two steps: first one was successful, but the second one didnt work, so I called USCIS. The lady who answered couldnt see my case file, so I had to wait for an hour until I could talk to a Tier2, who operated the change for me. He said I should be getting a confirmation letter in the mail soon.

The person who signed your affidavif of support has to fill in one paper and mail it the old fashioned way, if they move as well.
