At least you have your AP and EAD That's good news. I'm on day 48 or 49 and probably will not get mine since my GC will take over.

Will trade places with you every day. MY GC card will arrive probably next year, so yeah ...

By the way, my numbers are not in the system yet, I am worried I will not be able to successfully change my address when the time comes.

Thanks for the encouragement to all of you guys. I hope you guys get the EAD as soon as possible. I know how difficult it is to sit at home and not being able to work or drive or do anything. I just got the notice in the mail that they cancelled it for unforeseen circumstances. Talked to my lawyer as well and she told me we are her second couple who just recently got cancellation notice and I should be confident that nothing is wrong with the case. I really hope we will get the new date very soon. Well once again I am just waiting. :crying:

I know there were couple of you having trouble at the social security office and they sent you home to wait 4 weeks cause the EAD is too new. And also had trouble getting a driving license. Just wanted to share my experience with you all hope it helps:

The day after I got my EAD card I went to the social security office. They usually say wait 10 days before you go, but I couldn't wait. I was desperate to get my driving license as soon as possible. I received my card on 4/11/2013. On my EAD the date was 4/3/2013 and I went to the office on 4/12/2013. It was almost 10 days, but not yet. I printed out and fill out the form from the internet on the social security website. Went there and the guy just asked for my passport and my Ead card and the form. He said everything was fine in the system and I should get my number in 2 weeks. I told him I want to get my driver license and if he could give me any kind of documentation. He said I could come back on Tuesday cause they need 48hours to have my number in the system and they can give me a print out then that has my number on it. So I did go and got the print out with my number.

After that headed to the DMV. She only needed my EAD, SSN (I only had the print out) and 2 proof of my address. My other license expired for 11 months which was from a different state. I gave her that too. I was wondering if they will make me take the written test again. But I only had to do the eye exam. There was no problem and now I have my driver license. Wohooo.

So I went to the SSA office yesterday to get my SSN, they told me to come back today if I wanted to get my number. I just went there and I got it!! I'm at the DMV now :D

I had my GC interview yesterday. The IO confirmed my info on the i485 and ask the true or false questions. He then ask how long i have known my wife and how long we have been married. We wnet to the interview with my daughter, son and wife. The IO said he is recommending my petition for approval and should receive the card within 2-4 weeks. He then printed a paper and checked a box which says he is recommending my petition for approval. Does this mean we were approved ? Lol

Just an update because maybe someone is going to go through the same situation as I am going through right now. Not soooo much fun:( I have received the interview cancellation notice from USCIS yesterday. Of course I called my lawyer and let her know what was going on. She told me she will figure it out and will let me know , but I don't have to worry. Of course I had the worst day ever yesterday with lots of crying and my family wasn't happy about it either. We were just so close to be over with everything. This morning my lawyer sent me an e-mail that she had received two more cancellation notice for that day. She also found out that the Tampa local office canceling all their interviews at the beginning of May cause they have some sort of training going on. That's my luck :crying: Well since our interview was on the 6th of May I hope we will be on the top of the list to reschedule. Well I guess bad stuff happen... I hope none of you have to go through this because it is a terrible feeling. I also know that it could be helpful if someone gets the same notice as I do to know that nothing is wrong with your case it could be just the office's fault.

Congratulations Joseph!

So they only asked you True/False questions? That's interesting. Did they ask for extra information or photos? How long was the interview.

God bless you and your family
