Just received my biometrics appointment letter, set for April 3rd, will see how Honolulu feels about walk-ins and might give it a shot next week.

:dance: :dance: I agree with JGD108. Do a walk in. I did my walk in the morning around 9:30AM. However, my area is really remote. So I was in and out for about 7 minutes. It took me longer to get in cause I always have a camera in my bag. :dance: :dance:

Applied in Late Feb - Just had biometrics 12 days early walk in took no more then 4 or 5 minutes. No wait at all. Can't believe it cost $80.

Hope to have AP and EAD in a week or two and hopefully having my Green Card in a couple months.

[*] 15 May 2013 - Moved from MN to LA; [*] 17 May 2013 - Applied for a new SS card/filed an AR-11 online (unsuccessfully), therefore called and spoke to a Tier 2 and changed the address; [*] 22 May 2013 - Address updated on My Case Status (finally can see the case numbers online); [*] 28 May 2013 - Letter received in the mail confirming the change of address; [*] 31 July 2013 - Went to Romania; [*] 12 September 2013 - returned to the US using the AP, POE Houston, everything went smoothly; [*] 20 September 2013 - Spoke to a Tier2 and put in a service request; [*] 23 September 2013 - Got "Possible Interview Waiver" letter (originally sent on August, 29th to my old address, returned and re-routed to my current address); [*] 1 October 2013 - Started a new job.

Please relay to us the good news. I have a gut feeling you will receive a change online. :whistle:

I noticed that people have a change after 14 days of their biometrics. Others are luckier to get it in a week time only!!

Hi Feb filers!

Today received email texts saying our AOS is now in testing and interview! My husband completed his bio 03/11/2013. I was shocked getting a notice this soon re: AOS and nothing re: EAD/AP. Also messages were sent to phone and email account used during K-1 visa. For AOS we gave them my husband's email and phone number. He received the initial acceptance texts but nothing else. Here's what the USCIS account status reads:

Testing and Interview

Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

I am assuming that an interview is inevitable at this stage. So I guess we should hear from them soon re: interview date.

What's bothering me is there is no movement re: EAD/AP. My husband desperately wants to work. I know he feels really down sometimes because he's only going to school but isn't able to make any money for us. But like K-1, this too shall pass.

Please tell him to think about it this way.

Don't worry about that... It is better to get the green card right away cause it gives us access to work and travel at the same time.

:innocent: I am wondering if any of the February filers were able to get their EAD/AP. I noticed everybody is getting their interview. SO this is a good sign. Right?
