Ok so we are married on 8/25/2012 and we started the i 130 process am still waiting for the NOA 2 hopefully i get it soon , i have all my papers, in order and am wondering :

some people have told me to tell my husband to go apply for a passport is this ok before anything.

what happens if he has a passport already !

Your husband is the foreign beneficiary? He must have a passport, so they can put his visa on it. If he already has one then nothing happens, he has a passport.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

As explained nothing will happen if he has a passport, Just make sure that its an UNEXPIRED passport that he has. And that once the time comes around for you interview the passport its at least still valid for 6months...
