Usually, you are given 6 months (that is the maximum), but it may be less, especially if it is your first time, or you travelled a lot on it recently.

What happens if you overstay will depend on when they find you/ how you leave the US/ how long you overstay. At a minimum, your visa will be revoked and you will have to apply for a new one. You may also be banned from the USA for several years.

Was just curious if anyone knows what kind of timeframe they grant a tourist visa, is it line 2 weeks, a month, 3 months?....and also, if the tourist overstays the visit deadline, what happens then?

Thanks a bunch!

Usually 6 months, but its the discretion of the CBP officer. Could be much less time.

Overstay equals automatic revocation of the visa. No more visits to the US for a very long time. Don't respect the rules of the visitor visa, then don't get the benefit of using the visitor visa again.
