I thought of this after reading the thread on US/Canada insurance from a few days ago- great thread by the way, answered a lot of questions.

So, for those of us moving to the US that do not have the option of being added to our spouses plan- does anyone have any suggestions as to what insurance we can get or should look into? I know some companies won't insure you until you have lived in the US for 6 months and get a physical. Other coverage I have looked into that we could get right away would be around $1000/month for 3 healthy individuals. Coming from Canada that is a tough one to go for! But who knows...might have to.

Thanks in advance!

I know there are more somewhere buried in the Canada forum if you go back.

I’ve seen many threads on it on my time on VJ.

Good luck :)
