You will have to correct that. Birth dates are an important part of filing paper work as well as for identification and if they do not match up, that can raise issues.

I suggest in future, you read through a form completely first, then fill the form out, then re-read the completed form and check your information is correct.

Yeah you might get an RFE for that, but if you have her correct date somewhere else, or in doing the background checks the adjudicator sees the mistake they make just make the correction. It is very good advice to triple check all of your forms for correct information, and after you are done, check it again. I almost made a similar mistake with my form, because I put the wrong year for my fiancee's birthday. I wrote she was born in 1879, luckily I caught the mistake but my fiancee got a laugh out of it.

My case was: We did not get a RFE for bdates, but for a divorce decree certification. Our file reached NVC and then, they realized the bdates was unreadable in the copy passport (they send a scanned version to NVC it seems). Any time we tried to get a status of our case in NVC they denied to provide ANY information, because of the discrepancy. We sent an email with a clear PDF copy of my passport and they put an electronic note in our file and sent it to the Embassy, the next day we sent it. So, if the bdates do not match you will have problems getting info from NVC as when they sends the file to the respective Embassy. So, my advice is try to correct it ASAP or wait the RFE. It wont take too much. Good luck!
