Was he talking to a customer service rep? I had the same trouble with a CSR last week. I asked the question about 3 times and she kept dodging the question or changing the subject. I finally hung up, called back and asked to speak to a tier 2 ISO. She was more helpful and said that my case hasn't left USCIS. I don't understand what's taking so long. I assume I should allow a few days for my case to go from my local office back to NBC but what now? February is almost over and they still haven't mailed anything out yet.

Yah, he was talking to tier 1 CSR rep. On Friday, I'll ask him to speak to Tier 2 ISO. Thanks!! We're just trying to be patient for at least 2 weeks. But it sounds like I may have to learn to be patient for 4 to 6 weeks

Call the ISO and get a e request submitted. My file was approved February 1st and was still sitting in Philadelphia as of this past Friday.

Hi ludakrishna, what will be the request for? To transfer case from USCIS to NVC?

Hi guys,

Okay advice wanted....our case arrived at NVC on 11th Feb and we are still waiting ahem 'patiently' for our case number. Guy on Friday said we should get it this week, guy today sounded angry that I'd called before 20 business days. I'm hoping we'll hear good news soon. However, I'm thinking even if we got our case number this week the likelihood is that our interview probably won't end up being until June by the time we go through the NVC process and wait for an interview date. Does that sound about right?

Anyways, I'm missing hubby terribly (as we all are I'm sure) but have got the the point where I'm thinking I'd like to just fly over at the beginning of May on an ESTA and visit for a month and just fly back for my interview. Guess I'm just checking if this is a really unwise plan or if there are any hiccups I haven't considered. I mean other than the fact they might turn me away if they are concerned I'm entering with intention to stay. I'm hoping that won't happen though. Thoughts/advice?

Nevermind a case number, NVC has still not recieved our case yet. Is it normal to take this long? I understand about not receiving a case number but why hasn't it been mailed out yet? I called USCIS last week and they didn't say anything about supervisory review. Just wondering why my case seems to be at a standstill right now.

Dumb question: Will I receive notification from USCIS, NVC, or none once our case is shipped off? I assumed I would receive an email or something by now.

Me too hubby call up USCIS they my package the day my approval the same date My approved letter was sent. Mean I just gonna need is to wait for NVC research. and the USCIS persons they should recieved it by now. Im just thingking the paper is seating in someones desk for a long time. I spoke to the operator and told them. he says he does not know how long NVC research will answer on that querry. Seems I will start my processing hopefully this March and focus with another things so I wont be stress...

My case arrived on the same date, and no case number for me either (woman also told me it should be this week). As flying down, the last time I went to visit my hubby a couple weeks ago, customs did ask me if I was planning/in the process of getting a green card (when I went last month, they did not ask this). They did not ask for my letter of employment or other documents showing ties to Canada (which I had), but DID ask to see my NOA2 and asked how long I was visiting and whether I had booked my return flight. Once I showed them the letter and booked return flight, they let me through. I think as long as you have the supporting documents and a return flight home booked (which may be tricky if you don't have an interview date), you should be okay.... But I welcome other thoughts/experiences of course.

Well, what do you know? We resent the DS-3032 last night after rereading the first post and ErinBeth's post and, lo and behold, an acceptance this morning! Who knew?! :)AOS arrived a week ago tomorrow, so hoping that we get our IV invoice and can send that package off tomorrow. Thanks Saylin and ErinBeth!

Rock on!

On the plus, my IV invoice came today along with the pdf official version. I just logged on to pay. Now, I just need my husband's actual IV application to arrive, that's the only piece of the puzzle I don't have ready to ship out

I guess I can send my DS-3032 and my AOD I-864 together?

:help:

DOCUMENT COVER SHEET

National Visa Center

Attn. CMR AOS

31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Principal Applicant: Wifes Name

[bARCODE AREA]

CR1

The next step in the immigration process is for the

Petitioner to submit an Affidavit of Support. A link to the

instructions has been provided for you on the Receipt Page.

You can also find the instructions on the NVC website at

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov

You MUST RETURN THIS COVER SHEET with the

Petitioner's completed forms and supporting documents.

Failure to do so will delay your visa(s).

Please attach this page to the front of the documents for

this case and mail to:

The DS 3032 is the agent of choice papers. Are you mailing them in or sending the email? The IV package is the DS-230. It would be rare to have a paid invoice cover sheet for that if you haven't done the agent papers yet.

My case also arrived on Feb 11th to the NVC and I was told the same thing today - that the case is being entered into the computer and I should wait about 10 to 20 business days from the date the file arrived to NVC.

I am not lucky as you guys though since my wife is in India and she does not have a visa to come and visit me. We have just been meeting each other every 3 or 4 months in various countries - spending a lot of money but I downsized my lifestyle at home and at least got to see a bunch of countries - but I don't think we can do that too long now so patiently waiting for her to come here as soon as possible.
