Just a quick question guys, we don't need translations for the IV package right? My papers are in Arabic and the embassy is in Egypt (Arabic)! We are done with collecting all the originals and are really not looking forward to translation. It is a long process in Egypt, where you have to get stamps all over the paper after it's translated! please confirm that we don't need it please

I think there is a doubt about this so I chose to include all the translations.

Did you consider doing the translation yourself?

Here's what I know-- According to the website it says translation isn't needed if its in the language of the country. We did not send translations. I did not receive a checklist for the translations when I mailed my package. Maybe they will ask for it later, but we chose not to bother with it since it wasn't a requirement.

I found out on Thursday that my case has been completed at NVC. My embassy is Abu Dhabi. Does anyone know know long will it take to get an interview date? Also, can someone tell me what are my chances of getting an interview date for April?

Finally, before the end of the day, I sent out IV application packet. I've done my part at NVC (unless they ask for RFE)

That was a lot more time consuming that I expected!

Hello, I am trying to figure out. On the AOS if #23 is different from #25 2011 amount will this cause me to get a checklist? I make much more money currently than I did last year. I sent in a letter from my employer, a paycheck stub, and proof of my child support to validate the amount in #23. Thanks for responding!

Well, question 23 is referring to CURRENT income and question 25 is referring to income amounts from your previous years' tax returns. The two questions are obviously going to have two different numbers.

Generally, on a global average, it's two months from case complete date to interview date. So April is possible, if your country is similar to the global average. Time to do your own research! Exactly! On the website it says that if documents are not in English or the language of the country of interview, they need to be translated. I will go ahead and send it w/o translation... Thanks guys

Got a checklist for PCC(knew it was coming), called them just to verify there's nothing to worry about, was told they know it gets sent straight to the consulate. AOS has been delivered late last week, but it's not in the system yet. Hopefully soon.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND we have Case and Invoice ID Numbers!!! yaaaaaaay!!

Now I just need to hope and pray that my taxes have been processed on Monday! Which is what I'm worried about, I called the IRS a couple of days ago and they said that they still haven't processed it and that they need 4-6 weeks, maybe longer. What would happen if I sent in my returns with the AOS before the IRS finished processing? Keep in mind that financially we're totally relying on my father as joint sponsor since I'm overseas and therefore don't have any income that can be used to sponsor. Has anyone come across this problem?

Well, what do you know? We resent the DS-3032 last night after rereading the first post and ErinBeth's post and, lo and behold, an acceptance this morning! Who knew?! AOS arrived a week ago tomorrow, so hoping that we get our IV invoice and can send that package off tomorrow. Thanks Saylin and ErinBeth!

Hi Saylin,

Quick question, im a july I-130 filer currently serving active duty i did an expedite request which was approved friday the 22nd and received the text Approved ... Now, will i have to wait 2 weeks to call uscis to see if my case was sent to NVC, and since they are expedited papers (deployment related) will it still take 15-20+ days to receive new case id # from NVC . sorry for asking too much is that i dont have much knowledge about this process and expediting situation.

No packets being reviewed so far on my case :/ Seriously hoping they got there. I don't know why they wouldn't... i checked the address meticulously a million times. It will be two weeks on Wednesday.... and it can take up to 15 weekdays though just to even get there though, so who knows... I will call again on Friday and if they haven't heard anything, then I'll consider panicking...
