ok i understand everything, but im confused, ok im supposed to get the affidavit of support for the NVC process, but my wife will have to get all of those papers that are mentioned in the IV packet, what has me confused is how will my wife mail that to the NVC? or is there any other way she can go about doing this that won't make her have to go to a postal office and mail all those paper work.

What country is your wife from? Your profile/timeline isn't filled out.

If she's from a non-EP (electronic process) country, then she has no choice but to mail the IV package. She can either mail it directly to NVC or she can mail it to you, and then you can mail it to NVC.

I sent my DS3032 last week following the email template on here. Will they inform us when it is accepted? Or do we just wait until we are invoiced for the IV bill? I am sorely tempted to send a scanned and signed copy of the form, do you think this is necessary? I just want to do everything I can to keep this process moving along now.

Yes, they should reply to the email you sent out. The ultimate way to know it's been accepted is of course the IV bill being invoiced.

If you want, you can do the scanned copy of the DS-3032, and follow the tip in the FAQ to get it approved quickly.

Sorry to burden this topic with this long post but I would appreciate if some members could read my letter below that I plan on attaching to my cover sheet when we send all documentation to the NVC. Does my evidence present a strong case? Is my letter formal and straightforward without getting too emotional? Thanks to everyone who reads it.

Multiple attempts have been made to register our marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 without success. On xx/xx/2012, I approached the American Consulate in New Delhi and obtained a formal No Objection Certificate prior to getting married (1). On xx/xx/2012, I formally converted to the Hindu Vedic religion (2), and on xx/xx/2012, Mr. xxxxx and I were married in the Arya Samaj Mandir (3). We attempted to register our marriage the day after our marriage but the registrar presiding over my husband's district refused without additional documentation. After providing the documentation, he continued to refuse. We approached the High District Courts with our troubles and they ordered the registrar to make a decision on our case (4). The registrar subsequently ignored the court mandated order.

The law in India currently states that it is compulsory to register all marriages solemnized in India. However, after following all local, state, and national laws regarding our marriage, we continue to be refused on false pretenses. In all of our encounters with the registrar, his behavior with us has been unprofessional, curt, and dismissive. He frequently interrupts my husband and I and when we present documentation to him related to our file, he refuses to acknowledge it. The problems we are facing are of no fault of our own and we are declaring the marriage registration document unobtainable due to official error. Our marriage is legal and binding according to Indian law specific to the Hindu religion. My husband's family members have also provided affidavits confirming their presence at our marriage ceremony (5). I have also attached photographs detailing the marriage ceremony itself showing all Hindu marriage customs and rites performed (6). Please accept this evidence in place of the missing marriage registration document.

Contents of this section include:

1.) No objection letter issued by the U.S. consulatein New Delhi

2.) Formal conversion certificate (original and English translation) issued by the Arya Samaj Mandir showing conversion to Hindu Vedic religion

3.) Certificate of Marriage issued by Arya Samaj Mandir

4.) Court order issued by District High Courts

5.) Affidavits of support from husband's family

6.) Photographic evidence detailing stages of Hindu wedding ceremony

AK that sounds really good. Doesn't sound too emotional at all. You should probably also send whatever you sent to USCIS to back up your case even more.

Thanks for reading! I definitely plan on doing that. I have so much paperwork from everthing including copies that I had to go out and buy one of those huge tupperware containers to hold everything. Actually that one is getting hard to close  . My husband didn't believe me until I send him a pic. He asked me how I managed to gather that much paperwork. I told him this is the last 4 years of our life in a box. Ever since we talked about starting the immigration process I save everything and make at least 3 copies. I've heard of folks carrying a suitcase worth of evidence to the interview. Yep, that'll be us! :P

Hello, I am trying to figure out. On the AOS if #23 is different from #25 2011 amount will this cause me to get a checklist? I make much more money currently than I did last year. I sent in a letter from my employer, a paycheck stub, and proof of my child support to validate the amount in #23. Thanks for responding!

Just a quick question guys, we don't need translations for the IV package right? My papers are in Arabic and the embassy is in Egypt (Arabic)! We are done with collecting all the originals and are really not looking forward to translation. It is a long process in Egypt, where you have to get stamps all over the paper after it's translated! please confirm that we don't need it please :D

Unfortunately you DO need to get them translated. Even though the embassy is in Egypt, NVC is not, and the people reviewing the paperwork will have to be able to understand what it says in order to complete your case. If it takes a long time to get done in Egypt I'd get started on it ASAP. There's still a while to go, though, since you still have to get your case numbers, your DS3032 approved, your IV bill invoiced in paid, etc. This should give you at least three weeks time, possibly more. Since you just got your NOA2 on the fifteenth, if you work fast you should have it done in time to turn everything in! Good luck.
