Everyone that sent scanned copies of the DS-3032, did you do it w/out the barcode? I just sent it but then realized that I of course don't have a barcode to put at the top of the form; what is everyone's experience with that, does it still get accepted?

I don't think the barcode really matters because you're putting the case number in the subject line of the email. I'd also reiterate the case number in the email.

Can I ask why a copy and the original?

Also do I need to send only the top half of the NBI?

Thank You

Re: the NBI - since that's a country specific document, probably best to ask in the country specific forum. My husband's police clearance is a half sheet of paper - the front in French and the back in Arabic. The translation is a full sheet separate page.

It's a full sheet in 2 halves, lover half is Personal copy. Self explanatory I guess..lol

You only need the barcoded cover sheet when sending your AOS and IV packet, and if any checklists are generated you will use that same barcoded coversheet from the payment portal to send additional documents.

So that you can get your originals back at the interview.

No problem, this whole process kind of puts you on the edge to begin with, ya know? Thanks for all of your help!

Oh, trust me, I know. I remember being at NVC and being on edge about EVERYTHING.

Everyone that sent scanned copies of the DS-3032, did you do it w/out the barcode? I just sent it but then realized that I of course don't have a barcode to put at the top of the form; what is everyone's experience with that, does it still get accepted?

No need to generate your own barcode or anything for the DS-3032. You're absolutely fine ;)

Can I ask why a copy and the original?

Also do I need to send only the top half of the NBI?

Thank You

Like Roosha said, it's so the originals can be returned at the interview and then they can have a copy for their own records.

And if the bottom half is for your personal records, well, keep it for your personal records and send the top half ;)

Hi VJ Experts.

We are responding to a checklist we received from NVC for the I-864 that my husband submitted. The checklist says the income indicated in question 25 on I-864 does not match with the most recent federal tax return and W-2's. We are re-sending the corrected I-864.

My question is , do we have to send all the supporting documents that we sent earlier with this corrected I-864? or is it sufficient to send only the corrected I-864 application along with the bar coded cover sheet.

If the checklist is just for an error on the I-864, then all you need to submit is a corrected I-864, along with a bar-coded cover sheet. And a cover letter if you wish. No need to resubmit the tax information or employment proof.

ok i understand everything, but im confused, ok im supposed to get the affidavit of support for the NVC process, but my wife will have to get all of those papers that are mentioned in the IV packet, what has me confused is how will my wife mail that to the NVC? or is there any other way she can go about doing this that won't make her have to go to a postal office and mail all those paper work.

I sent my DS3032 last week following the email template on here. Will they inform us when it is accepted? Or do we just wait until we are invoiced for the IV bill? I am sorely tempted to send a scanned and signed copy of the form, do you think this is necessary? I just want to do everything I can to keep this process moving along now.

While we were in the middle of the AOS form, my husband read "If you do not provide sufficient support to the person who becomes a permanent resident based on the Form I-864 that you signed, that person may sue you for this support" and he just froze.

Not funny considering we've been together for 10 years, he should know better! :bonk:
