This, one, I can answer. sld has a pattern of reporting back his queries from the NVC TeleOperators, and stating that he's doing exactly what the NVC TeleOperators have told him to do.

His queries smack of not reading post #1 or #2, LingChe in the wiki, or even the DoS Website about Immigrant Visas. Is it that he's not reading that stuff, or has decided to ignore what was written? Regardless, he's established a pattern of calling into NVC, getting advice from a NVC TeleOperator, and going forth with the advice the NVC TeleOperator has given him.

It's his established pattern, aye? You'd be cranky also, if'n someone decides to ignore all of the previously written stuff.

If someone decides to ignore my advice, that's their choice. We're all allowed to call the operators and report back on what they said. 90% of the posts are reports of what operators told them. The guides are exactly that. They're guides. They aren't absolute. In fact, as I said, the guide says to send a templated email of the 3032, but people later in this thread have indicated that they're having better success doing what the operators told sld to do. Sign, scan and email the actual form. He's also allowed to report back on what the results are. We're here to learn, support and hopefully help, not to be reemed out or alluded to that we're stupid. There's no benefit. This is a stressful enough process. I think you realize this, what with having to put together your own RFE for the I-130. You have very valid advice sometimes, the helpful stuff is good.

And if I got cranky every time someone didn't take my advice, I'd be out of a career. Instead, I'm not and I love what I do, with the understanding that everyone is on their own journey, so let them take the journey. If they annoy you, ignore.

good.gif thanks saylin only thing is " And I am just making sure I understand you " i do not have the 1040 nor the 1040ez in my possession so i'm going by what my transcript has where it has adjusted income right ? or let me know if i'm dead wrong... and the transcript and cover letter is ready to go just trying to get this right ( so dont get frustrated with me saylin lol)

The tax transcript is based off a tax return that was filed. Which tax return form was filed? It should say on the top of the transcript. Then, once you know, go back to my previous post to find out which amount line you're supposed to use. Do not just guess and choose a random line because, if you're wrong, it'll cost you another checklist.

I'm not frustrated, I just want to make sure you get the right amount!

I'm only just seeing posts now as I've been away from the boards. The number we pulled was the adjusted income from the transcript.

Keep in mind they're giving you general wording that is probably form a drop-down menu in their computer.

We got the same checklist saying line 25 didn't match the W2 or whatever that was BUT the number DID match, they just couldn't read it because my husband made a low-res scan and the person trying to read it just couldn't see it clearly. As soon as I sent better version of it, no problem.

And nobody here is getting frustrated with you.

Un-Flipping-Believable!!!!!! So I found out my file was sitting in Philly when I called the ISO last week. NVC didn't receive the file today either, so I decided to call the USCIS again. Guess what? The file was shipped from Philly to NBC, but then shipped back to Philly!!! AAARGHHH!!!!! Give me a break!! The ISO was super kind and created a service request and gave me a reference number. She said allow up to March 9th for NVC to get the file. I hope its sooner. I can't believe this is how my tax dollars are being wasted. If NVC hasn't received your file, I highly suggest everyone call the USCIS and find out whether it's collecting dust in one of the local field offices.

According to USCIS, my file was still on someone's desk too. As far as I know that desk was at the NBC but who knows. It could be someone's desk in Pittsburgh. I don't understand why your approved I-130 got sent back to Philadelphia. Did they say it was an internal error?

On another note, the ISO I spoke with yesterday said that files are sent to NVC electronically. That's the first I've heard of that. That has to be wrong or maybe she didn't understand my question because they do physically ship your entire I-130 package to NVC, correct?

I am the petitioner.

Anybody know where I can get the NVC checklist that I am required to attached to get Singapore Police clearance? I understand that i need the request letter and the checklist. While waiting for my DS 3032 to be accepted, I'm gathering all docs now so that as soon as the IV is paid, I can quickly send the package to them.... Thanks!

If he doesn't have any income, then you have no choice but to obviously put $0. You have a joint sponsor I assume? They'll fill out an I-864, just like your husband.

thank u saylin! maybe my husband should also write a letter of explanation why he has zero income :-)

When I submit my info to the NVC, I want to include More photographs along with additional bonafide evidence so I wanted to know whether I should include one or two copies of the photographs? For the I–130 I only submitted one copy of the photographs and 2 copy of every other document. So do I need to send in 2 albums with the same pictures in it?

Concern:

I just received a checklist to send the original marriage certificate. I had sent them a government issued marriage certificate and the bride's copy from the religious authority. However, the bride's copy on the top says duplicate.. urghhh.. and the groom's says Triplicate. The original is kept by the religious authority..

What do I do now? I did send them the original certificate issued by the government of Pakistan... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hi folks,

Does anybody know whether a change of employment prior to the interview would effect the I-864? let's say the petitioner (sponsor) would take a job offer at a different company than the one indicated on the I-864, what needs to be done if that happens? just bring an updated G-325A to the interview?
