I would say they reviewed your AOS package and accepted it, and this checklist is in response to that.

It's not technically a checklist, it's just reminding you that you need to bring the original passport photos with you to the interview. So, no, there's no action to take.

It could be true, but unless the operator actually spent time looking, then you might not want to believe them. But, for Canada, as with the global average, it's typically two months from case complete date to interview date. I'm guessing your interview will be sometime in April. You'd be very lucky if you got a March interview, even a late one.

I think it would be best to call up NVC and ask about this one. And don't just rely on ONE operator's response. Call a minimum of five times and ask. Take the majority answer.

Called twice already. No case yet. But they did mention that as long as the information being provided is correct and not false, it doesn't matter whether its the adopted or the biological parents. Apparently they only serious when it comes to minor, and my wife is an adult. Told me to just include the original and certified documents.

I also asked regarding certified copies having certification stamp and seal in a foreign language. As long as the document itself is in English, the approver will see the raised stamp and approve. No need to translate the entire document just for the stamp. Hope they're true.

Thanks, folks. Yes, I am letting myself get overwhelmed. I just e-mailed the NVC asking them to do me the favor of requesting my file (I know it hasn't really been enough time but it would really help me emotionally, figured it wouldn't hurt just to ask). That was all I could do and I did it, so I'm going to just try putting it out of my mind today. I really appreciate your thoughtful support. (F)

I filed the I-130 today.

I am trying to get the necessary documents for the NVC ready.

This is a very early question, but My question pertains to emailing the choice of agent form. How can one do this if the beneficiary doesn't speak/write english? Also how would the NVC know what the beneficiary's email is to begin with in order to complete the request?

What should we do in this case?

The NVC would know the beneficiary's email address because YOU would provide both email addresses when a case number is assigned. But, if the beneficiary can't speak English, then I would suggest in your case, you log onto your spouse's email address and send the DS-3032 email on their behalf. Many petitioners do this!

what to do with this email from NVC.....

We eagerly waiting for our case to completed....but very sad and frustrated seeing this email which was sent from NVC attorney to our attorney from NVC.crying.gifcrying.gif

We sent our AOS and IV packages to NVC on 28th jan.....yesterday( responded very late to our case)they sent the mail .......about PCC.....But i sent my pcc which i have taken from our local passport office....but i cannot understand what they are asking about pcc...

[...]

Anyone please help.......

.we did not see each other and staying away from one year.....I really frustrated about this processcrying.gifcrying.gif

Did you obtain the correct PCC? You went to the local Passport Office to get it? You sent the original and not a photocopy?

Try to be reassured by what you were told and what people on here have said to you, it seems that a supervisor is reviewing the work of the person who handled your case, if they had any concerns at all about your case then they would have sent you an RFE before approving you and sending your NOA2. I know how hard it is to switch off from this process at all stages. thank heavens we are all coming to the end of it.

Folks, I'm so depressed this morning, please help me if you can. :crying: I know I shouldn't be sad. But I was so frightened by reading about other cases where people have taken a really long time to get from USCIS to NVC. I know that once the file actually makes it to NVC, we'll be OK and we can submit everything we need. I don't know what "supervisory review" is and I woke up this morning shaking like a leaf because I dreamed they said it would take 6 months. Even though I have that precious NOA2 letter of approval I'm secretly worried because we didn't get the RFE I was expecting and I keep thinking something's gone badly wrong. Every time I read about someone's file making it to the NVC in a week, I start feeling panicky and sick.

Could someone please tell me what realistic expectations are so I don't have to go through this pain? It's not separation from my husband so much as not knowing what to expect and anticipating delay and trouble. I'm sorry to be a pill but I am really in trouble this morning and I'm grateful for a place to talk about it where people understand. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your response......

I'd suggest calling NVC up and requesting to speak with a supervisor. Explain the situation and ask them to re-review it. If it is indeed the correct PCC, then they should accept it.

Did they specifically ask about the passport clearance certificate? What they may actually want from you is a local police clearance certificate. I believe most applicants from India try to send both the passport clearance certificate and the police clearance certificate. My husband is sending me both to forward to NVC.

I am the petitioner.

Just called NVC and USCIS today. My file has not left USCIS yet. The ISO I spoke to first said allow 4 weeks then she said allow 3 weeks. I also confirmed that my case was sent and processed at my local field office on 2/6/2013. The ISO said that Pittsburgh probably lied in order to shield themselves against frantic petitioners asking to speak with a supervisor and bombarding them with questions about when their cases would be approved. Ok I can respect that I guess but the IO didn't have to lie and tell me point blank that my petition would be denied due to my unobtainable document. That wasn't very nice. He nearly caused me a stroke!

In the meantime, I will continue to make my daily calls to NVC.

I am the petitioner.

Yeh, they told my husband the same thing y'day when he called. Our NOA2 is two days behind yours, Feb 15th so I wasn't expecting any update. We called just to find out if the case is being reviewed by supervisor or not.
