Thanks EmilyS!!!

Is electronic processing is limited to some countries?

If we want through EP ,what should we do to get our case through EP?

EP is only available to a few select countries. India not being one of them. You find the link to the list on the first post.

I checked already. India does not qualify for electronic processing.

I am the petitioner.

This is true. I just called the NVC and spoke to a rep who said I needed to wait "10... no, 15 to 20... well 15 days..." for my number.

My rep had a bit of an attitude and said "Ma'am, you need to wait 15 business days before you call again.

Which is fine since my husband still has a ton of paperwork to collect and he has to go all over India to get them :dead:

I am the petitioner.

Hi VJ'rs

We mailed I-864 and supporting documents and DS-230 application along with corresponding documents and the same was delivered to NVC on 11th Feb. Today my husband received a checklist and following is the content:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (Beneficiary)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

website for instructions:

http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

your visa.

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

A review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and

supporting documents that you submitted has revealed that you have provided incomplete information in

your response or you have not responded to some questions.

Please pay specific attention to the questions marked in the attached I-864/A checklist. You will need to

complete and submit a new form with the changes noted on the attached checklist.

You will need to follow the instructions for the Affidavit of Support (I-864) that are posted on the

Department of State website at the following address:

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. From there, you can fill out a new form online, print the new

completed form and mail it to NVC. If you are the Petitioner, please read all instructions and complete

the correct form to submit to NVC. An Affidavit of Support form is required to be submitted from the

Petitioner on each case regardless of his/her income level.

NVC will hold this case until you send us these needed items. When you return the documents to NVC,

please make sure that the documents submitted are in the correct order and stapled together, as stated in

the I-864 Important Notice instructions.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

Checklist for I-864 (filed by Petitioner )

The NVC has reviewed the financial evidence submitted. However, additional information is

required to complete the financial evidence review. Please provide all requested documents and

refer to page two for mailing instructions.

General Instructions

[x] You will need to complete and submit the new form completely filled out (all pages required), which includes

the changes noted below. Submitting single pages of the form with the correction is not acceptable. In order

to make corrections you will need to download a new form at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.

Part 6 Sponsor's Income and Employment

[x] This section is incomplete. Please answer all questions completely. (If N/A, please indicated in the

appropriate space).

[x] _XXXXXXXXXX_'s income indicated on the I-864 Part 25 does not correspond to the amount shown

on the most recent Federal tax return and W-2's

I think the first part asking for the immigrant visa application is a false checklist and we dont need to act on this since we already sent DS-230 along with the required Civil documents. Hope my understanding is correct.

For the second part regarding the "Financial Evidence" - my husband will be sending the corrected I-864 as per the instructions given along with Covering letter. Hope this is sufficient.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

UGH! I called the NVC today and they haven't received my case yet. So I called the USCIS to see if it's even been sent out yet and it HASN'T. It's still sitting on someone's desk. The ISO says it is in status "supervisory review". That really scared me and I asked if that meant there was something wrong! The ISO laughed and said nothing was wrong, some cases are reviewed by a supervisor, and he showed that the supervisor also approved the form (otherwise I would not have been sent the approval notice). But he did say that it could be another two whole weeks before the NVC even gets the file.

Anyone have any insight on this? Is the ISO telling me a straight story? :crying: Anyone? Please?

Yup, the first part (IV package) is a false checklist. But the AOS part is a real checklist. Just send what they want and they should review it within a week or two once they get it.

I don't know about the "supervisory review" part but I wouldn't be concerned since he seemed friendly about it and didn't give you some canned answer about it.

As far as him saying a couple weeks that's probably a pretty standard answer considering how long it takes us to get our case numbers even after we KNOW that they've arrived in the building by calling NVC.

In regards to the I-864, I have asked this question in a separate topic but got mixed answers.

Is my unemployment compensation considered income?

I am the petitioner.

You're right, thanks a lot. I did ask him if I was definitely approved and if all I am waiting for is for the file to be shipped and he said yes, but I was so panicky I was having chills (got to watch that). I notice from looking at other people's timelines that it does take at least a few weeks on average. Maybe this review is just a signoff and it happens a lot. In any case he said I cleared that hurdle and am definitely approved. God, this process is making me crazy.
