AAARRRRGGGGHHHH STILL NO CASE NUMBEEEEERRRRRR!!!!

Sorry about the caps but, Seriously? I'm about to start thinking something is wrong. My NOA1 was on Jan 25!! ####### are they doing? At least they do say they've received the case, so I know it's in the building! But this delay is so frustrating!!! I feel like it's just time wasted, it's been almost FOUR WEEKS!

Roosha, you will receive the case number any day now...do you know how long it took me to get a case number?? 6 freaking weeks...well 4 weeks to get there and another 2 to be assigned a case number

Really?

In my case, it took like 3 weeks to get the case number (NOA2 Jan 16th and NVC case # Feb 5th) :( my husband and I started calling a week after the NOA2 (online)and yes, they said many times that it was not in the system yet, we kept calling almost everyday, and in one of those calls an operator said that the file was received on Jan 21st, but they didn't have any NVC case number generated yet, because it has to be input in the system.

A few days later, finally we got our Case number, the IIN and the BIN.

I don't know how the fact you receive your NOA2 hardcopy is related to the NVC#. Anyone?

Maybe, if USCIS sends your package to NCV as the same time they send you your NOA2 notice, maybe they expect it to reach its destinations as the same time. SO if you have your NOA2, NVC should also have your package?

It doesn't really matter though, because as everybody keeps writing it, you wait 1 week after NOA2, and then keep calling regularly until you get your case number.

WOW, that's awful. I called the USCIS to find out whether they've physically shipped my case, only be put on hold for 1 hr for an ISO and then told the ISO's are overwhelmed and will contact me in 48 hours.

I've never been this excited to getting a bill.....

You guys might get a kick out of my HILARIOUS husband :hehe:

I received all his IV documents he mailed me today. The passport-style photos he took, he decided to have his hair in a unicorn horn looking thing. Why? I have no idea.

When I asked him about his interesting hair choice:

"i checked..

it didnt say i had to have a normal looking hair style"

Thankfully he's going to be the one defending his hair to the interviewer. Let's hope they have a sense of humor.

We called USCIS multiple times when we were waiting for the NVC to receive our case and everytime I was asked whether or not I'd like someone to call me back, and I would ALWAYS insisit on holding. I suggest you call back and when they tell you that you have 3 choices; 1.hold the line 2.someone to call you back 3.email....always tell them that you'd like to hold the line, because they won't get back to you and even if they do it won't be for another 3-4 days

Yeah, I have no idea why they got rid of it. I'm sure they've gotten more calls now since they removed the AVR headbonk.gif
