If no one here knows the answer to this, I suggest posting this in your regional forum. I had luck in the NZ/AUS regional forum when I had country specific questions.

Thanks, I'll try there too.

That is the same automated nonsense that all the operators tell everyone. There's no telling WHEN your case will get approved, but it could take up to thirty days.

I was given a checklist by the NVC for an NL police certificate...which of course i cannot obtain. i was curious as to how many other also need NL certificates, How did you handle the situation?

Unfortunately, NVC reviewers don't seem to know all the country's rules. I would suggest calling up next week and requesting to speak with a supervisor. Explain the situation. Have the website handy to read exactly what's on the NVC site under the Netherlands reciprocity table.

All operators give an exaggerated time frame. Don't worry about it. Just keep calling every single day.

Well, you can only start an expedite request AFTER a case number has been assigned, so you need to at least wait until then. Once you do get a case number, call an operator and explain that you want to send in an expedite request. They'll explain what you have to do.

Keep in mind though, being pregnant usually doesn't constitute an expedite. It'd have to be a high-risk pregnancy, and even then... But it's always worth a shot! If the request doesn't get initially approved, just go through the NVC process as quickly as possible. Once you have an interview date assigned, you can try contacting the embassy directly and requesting for an earlier date. Again, there's no guarantee.

saylin in singapore they dont issue a Police clearance because Im a foreigner. do you statutory declaration sign by notary public is good enough as replacement of police clearance thanks

Are you currently living in Singapore? Have you read the paragraph on Certificate of Clearance on NVC's site for Singapore? http://travel.state....l?cid=9732#docs

For previous addresses, you need the exact dates (MM,DD,YEAR) as for the employment it only asks for (MM,YEAR) but it also asks for their telephone number, address + postal code as well as the supervisor's name, I couldn't remember any of my supervisors names so I checked the box "Not Known" or something along that. For education it asks how many secondary level and up schools you've attended, you have to provide their addresses and MM,YEAR. Oh and as for the US visits, you need the last 5.

We only submitted the most recent tax transcrip, but I will take photocopies of that and the previous years to the interview, you will also need to take the original I-864 form with you.

Hope this helps. Congrats on the NOA2 :)

Two of the business's I've worked for are now closed... So they don't REALLY have an address anymore. But I'll give the one I have on file for them when they were open! LOL Good luck calling anyone tho.

I hope to send in the AOS before he does his taxes... If they go off last year's taxes he won't have enough even though his pay stubs says he makes about 3 times the guidelines. I do NOT want to wait for next year to do move and having a co-sponsor isn't an option as his family makes less than him, and his best friend is in the military with a wife and child so I doubt his income would be enough either.

You need to speak with an operator and they will tell you when NVC received your case. The first times you call they might tell you that your case is not in the system yet, but once it is, they will tell you the exact date when they received it at NVC

You have to wait on the AOS FEE BILL to hit yer email inbox (you do stuff with a telephone, daily, prior)

but

once it does hit -

You can ask for an expedite at NVC. NVC will put a query into the IV unit, and if the IV unit accepts the expedite request, the casefile (whatever NVC has at the moment) is shipped out to the IV unit.

Not turn in stuff to NVC? Must turn in to the IV Unit on interview day.

Go Get Em ! [hint - used advanced search tool, search terms 'NVC Expedite' Author Name 'Darnell', then tick on 'display as posts' - I've written tons about this, in the last 2 years, and you'll see my posts about it] url - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks I'll try that. What makes the situation even more absurd is that the checklist instructions ask me to submit the NL police certificate, when two lines down in the same checklist letter, it clearly states that I cannot request one myself. I even already included a cover letter in th IV packet that quotes the NVC website on the Netherlands, to try to prevent this checklist from happening, but ALAS! It makes me wonder whether they read their own correspondence before they send it out.

I had the same problem getting a police certificate (not from NL though). I just sent a letter to the NVC (using the new barcode sheet) confirming that I had done everything in the instructions and my IV package was approved a week later
