Well I thought as much, but decided to send the AoS and 230 pkg anyways-- got a RFE (is it called that at this stage?) for a police certificate from the UK. It was 7 days since my case arrived at NVC. Yesterday they had no record of it in the system. Today it seems I only need this one thing for Case Complete. Its slowly making its way to me I think... its the one thing holding us up for so long now, and should be here in less than 2 weeks, God willing.

Saylin/Ryan/Christeen -

I think the monthly thread has been cloned/forked into something 'else' -

see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/405670-december-i-130-approvals-waiting-for-nvc/

so if'n yer looking for other data points for yer spreadsheet - is possible they be in

DEC and January and February (and March?) threads.

So, I posted this in the January thread and realized I should have posted it here. Sorry for the duplicate...

Question for a friend about her co-sponsor. She will be going through Lagos...

The co-sponsor will just have 2 dependants: herself and my friend's husband. The co-sponsor made just enough for 2 people in 2010 and 2011. She made ALMOST enough for 3 dependants in 2012. What do y'all think her chances are? I think she should be alright, but we are wondering since it IS Lagos and all. I'm sure she'll get through NVC but what do you think about the embassy? Thoughts?

HUSBAND'S CASE

I think we should get our case numbers some time next week. Let's be patient yet working hard. Let us konw once you get your number.

The lady I spoke to said it takes 10 to 20 business days to get the cases into the system, and Monday would be day 10, so hopefully that means we'll here something next week! I'll let you know when I get it, and you do the same!

Ya, about 7 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days. But who's counting? Oh wait...that would be me.

USCIS won't look into it until their processing times are past my processing date. They are currently processing May 28, 2012, and my PD is June 7, 2012. So, I'll have to wait a little longer. I'm just hoping that they'll update to a date past June 7th, otherwise I may have to wait another month before they are willing to submit a service request. I just hope they approve me before the update. Whatever, though. I don't want to turn this into a discussion about Vermont I-130 processing times. We have enough of it in the rest of the forum!

Can't wait to submit my paperwork to NVC, though! I'm ready to go (minus 2012 taxes since I have to wait until the end of Feb to take advantage of Registered tax breaks).

Just waiting on NOA2!

I want to give you HUGE KUDOS for being so patient! I got very lucky and recognize that. I had expected to be waiting 5-7 months at least for that NOA2. Anyway, I really want to give you a big Canuck hug and let you know I'm cheering for you!

The co-sponsor would be rejected and they will get a 221g. The co-sponsor doesn't meet previous year or current year. You can't be almost at the guideline. In fact you can't even be at the guideline.

They have to meet the guideline of 3 people and they don't. They need another co-sponsor.

Hello everyone,

I just got my I-130 approved yesterday - on 01/30/2013.

I am hoping the next stage goes fast. Right now I am reading up on all the process and forms that I need - it is a lot but thanks to all of you, it is organized and user friendly.

Grats on the recent approval! Once you get your case number, if you're prepared, the process goes really quickly! So get prepared NOW while you have the time!

Checking in ;) 12:02am here Feb 1st 2013 lol

Hopefully we all finish the NVC process in this month!! :)

Hehe, welcome ;)

Well I thought as much, but decided to send the AoS and 230 pkg anyways-- got a RFE (is it called that at this stage?) for a police certificate from the UK. It was 7 days since my case arrived at NVC. Yesterday they had no record of it in the system. Today it seems I only need this one thing for Case Complete. Its slowly making its way to me I think... its the one thing holding us up for so long now, and should be here in less than 2 weeks, God willing.

It's called a checklist here at NVC. RFE stands for Request for Evidence, which is a USCIS thing.

Thoughts?

She MIGHT pass by NVC, but like I've said previously, it still needs to pass the embassy's inspection. Does her husband work at all? Cause if so, they can combine incomes to make the amount higher...

I got my green card in the mail yesterday, so this will most likely be the last NVC filers monthly thread I'll post in (i will continue to post in different forums).

I want to thank everyone here for your help and support, especially Saylin. You guys rock! B-)

I think the monthly thread has been cloned/forked into something 'else' -

so if'n yer looking for other data points for yer spreadsheet - is possible they be in

DEC and January and February (and March?) threads.

I posted a word up to them directing them to the real deal here. No freelancing people.;)
