Thank you again Saylin

I have another quick question for everyone around who have filled the DS-230 form. I tried to fill out all the information and save it so I can send it electronically to my wife and then she can fill up any remaining fields, print it out, sign it and send it back to me by mail.

But I am not able to save the file. Plus my wife does not have a printer so she will need to save it anyways.

Is there any way around this - to fill it out and save it?

sure ! install cutepdf on your computer, print to pdf file.

then email the newly created pdf file to your spouse.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

Hi guys, I don't think employment letter is a must have once your have tax return and pay stub.

In AOS checklist, it says:

Verify that evidence of current employment or self-employment such as a recent pay statement or a statement from your employer on business stationery is attached. Verify that evidence of current employment or self-employment such as a recent pay statement or a statement from your employer on business stationery is attached.

And also in the I-864 instruction pdf file, in Part 6, 23,it states clearly that you may include a recent letter of employment, you are not required to...

Employment letter may take some time to get, so it's not necessary to waste time on that. Pay stub is a good alternative

sure ! install cutepdf on your computer, print to pdf file.

then email the newly created pdf file to your spouse.

Darnell, the recent cutepdf free versions I found either didn't work or have some virus like things. I wasn't able to find a clean and good to use one.

Question regarding employment verification. My employer told me that in order to get verification, I have to go on a website they have available. I went and requested the verification and got it immediately. However, it is digitally signed and won't be on company letter head. The HR spokesman said they only manually sign for I-821 I-817 and N-470. Since this is for the I-864, they can't sign it per company policy. Does anyone else have a similar situation? Will digital signature suffice employment verification and not on company letterhead.

I would say it's better than no employment letter. And like another member suggested, if you could include their policy, then that'd be good to.

Thanks a lot oohpartiv. This time I got it right. I've downloaded that before but didn't make it work last time. Thank you, this time I tried and made it work! It's pretty cool! Last time I accidentally side-downloaded Ask toolbar which was very annoying. :)

Once the fee has definitively come out of your bank account (and your account is in good standing), it is definitely safe to mail the AOS packet. By the time it arrives at the NVC the status will have turned to PAID.

I thought as much but I woke up to a PAID status. Hooray anyway!

I think people in this forum like to go OVERKILL in order not to get an RFE or a denial of any sort. So it really ends up being whatever works for you. If you can't take the chance of an RFE fudging up your timeline, go overkill.
