Hi those who have gone through EP, I have a question, please help: how many items included in I-864 package? I'm aware of I-864 form, cover sheet and receipt. Do I combine them into one pdf file or I attach 3 files for the three things? I would guess it doesn't really matter, but I feel I can not do anything wrong, anything not exactly the way NVC wants.

Like Saylin said, don't wait on the NVC. Once the payment portal shows "PAID" for the appropriate item, the package can be sent.

Yes, I'm making progress! Press on! I need my husband's help, but these days he's too busy. So far I feel like going on an adventure, fortunately with people's help and guidance who have been through!

You don't need the receipt. Just the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal. And there's more than just the I-864 form. You also need the tax information. And pay stub(s) and an employment letter wouldn't be a bad idea either...

Oh, will my husband's employment letter work? I haven't been really in career for a few years till now.

And also should I send multiple files or combine them into one big, mixed file? Thanks!

The AOS package is about the petitioner, not the beneficiary. It has to be the petitioner's form, the petitioner's tax information, and the petitioner's pay stubs/employment letter.

And also should I send multiple files or combine them into one big, mixed file? Thanks!

Oh, forgot to answer that part in your previous comment. I combined all my package files into one PDF file and sent that by email.

Case must have completed at NVC as I got an email with my interview date today. Quite pleased, all went very smooth and quickly, no RFEs. Interview is set for March 7th, which unfortunately is too soon (flights at such short notice would be expensive, and getting time off work would be complicated) so I'll have to reschedule with the Consulate. Happy though!

Hey, Silly questions I'm sure but you can never be too careful....

When hubby sends his AOS package....does that include the form and documents from our Joint Sponsor (his mom) as well? And would we just have one cover letter stating what the package includes? (The more I'm typing, the more I'm thinkhing duuuh - but I'll check just to be sure)

Haha! It seems so silly to be putting it off with other people desperate to be interviewed as soon as possible. I can't leave NZ until July anyway so I'm more than happy for other people to jump the queue ahead of me.

Thats a few months of waiting, eh?

Auckland seems to be quite quick on assigning interviews. If only NZ Post would take a lesson or two!

I wouldn't delay the interview, you never know what can happen to delay having your visa in your hands. The visa is valid for six months and so you've got time after you have the visa in order to make travel arrangements and everything.

Saylin, I'm going to direct my question to you since you know a lil bit of my background :)

Now that the AOS & IV packages are emailed out, I can't help but wonder maybe we should have included some evidence of bonafide marriage and take the rest to the interview. we didn't include much evidence with the petition to begin with and the clerk at my attorney's office said it's not needed at this stage either, I know you have told me that Montreal is an easy consulate and that canadian beneficiaries don't need much evidence, but do you think that I would be okay with taking everything to the interview? even though they're not going to see anything on file prior to that?

Sometimes I feel like I over think this whole process but I just can't help it

ps, anyone else that knows or is familiar with canadian cases plz enlighten me
