Grats!! kicking.gifkicking.gif

I'm kinda surprised they haven't asked you WHO you are. I'm guessing they're assuming you're part of the case since you know the receipt number. I myself was only asked a handful of times who I was. Upon replying beneficiary, they simply carried on with their business.

And definitely come here. The IR-2 visa is the exact same as the IR-1/CR-1 visa (with just a few different documents needed). The process is still the same though (sending DS-3032, paying bills, sending AOS/IV packages, etc).

Hope you get the case number soon! Are both packages ready to go?

I'm VERY surprised they talk to you about the case. Sometimes when I called in they wouldn't even talk to me about MY OWN KIDS whose cases are tied to mine because I am not listed as the agent (my husband, USC is) and would insist that my husband call in. Sometimes I would get someone friendly and they'd open up each case individually to look at it but many times they refused!

INTERESTING info, thanks! I think I will make myself the agent on the case after all. Otherwise the choice is the beneficiary (16-year-old, um no chance he would have a clue) or the petitioner (my husband, who would NEVER have the patience to wait on hold or make these repeated calls as needed).

I haven't received my stepson's documents yet; at the last minute his mother decided she didn't want to send his original birth certificate so they had to travel to obtain a certified copy. Also I found out she had to prepare a notarized letter giving her consent, required for a minor child to immigrate with one parent (I heard mixed information on whether it was required at the NVC stage or only at the interview, but better safe than sorry).

The only hold up now is figuring out why FedEx is now 4 times the price that it used to be when I was sending documents back and forth for my husband... that was 5 years ago, but STILL. They are now tacking on "out of delivery area" fees (even though it is the 2nd or 3rd largest city in the country) and "fuel surcharges"... crazy that it should be more than $100 to mail a few pieces of paper, and we don't even need it overnight/in 2 days. We may just take our chances with the Bulgarian mail. Fingers crossed we ever see that package! I'm still working on the best way to send these documents...

One of the biggest differences in immigrating a child vs. immigrating a spouse is the extensive involvement of a third party: the child's other birth parent (AKA my husband's ex-wife) has to do all the work of tracking down and sending documents, coordinating the medical exam, getting the kid to the medical and interview (about 2 hours away from where they live). Luckily she is being very accommodating but we are asking a lot of her and of course she has mixed feelings about her baby leaving her.

Great to see some movement at NVC - I also tried to call earlier and only got the busy tone...

Keep trying! I'm currently on hold with the really quiet hold music and the REALLY LOUD HOLD ANNOUNCEMENTS.

I swear, I have it on speakerphone and I almost fall out of my chair every time it blasts at me "ALL OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE STILL BUSY..."

 I HATE that! I have to call on skype, so while I'm waiting on hold I'll be doing something else (usually playing games on sporcle.com  ) and the hold announcements always scare the bejesus out of me!

Before I have the man send off our DS-3032 email..

I wanted to see if anyone knows if people are still getting it rejected needing it printed, signed, scanned and emailed.

Anyone got the regular email template accepted since that craziness?

I asked this question about a week ago, since I only sent the email template (no scanned attachment) and I got a few replies from people who had very recently been approved with ONLY the template. I haven't heard back yet, but am hoping to this week.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Experts, please help me this out. I paid AOS fee and it generated a cover sheet. But now I've enrolled in EP, the case number is changed. I wonder if it matters the cover sheet with old case number. If not, what should I do? :help:

Many thanks in advance!

Give it a few days, a coversheet with the new number will generate.

A lady answered the phone and I began the conversation by asking if she was keeping herself warm. From that point she was very kind and told me that they haven't received my case yet and said I should call back next week. I'll try again tomorrow....She told me they are severely backlogged. Deliveries on Friday & Saturday didn't happen due to the storm and today they're trying to play catch up with the 3 day mail backlog. They're closed Saturday, but they still get mail deliveries.

Question again. Initially for my bonafide marriage evidence, I submitted 10 pictures, 15 pages of phone call records through Vonage, 401k beneficiary change and the case was approved. I want to submit additional evidence from the day of the submitance. I have an additional 10 pages of phone call records and a total of 300 pages of Yahoo messenger chat records, AT&T text records, screenshots of Facebook chats and western union money transfer records. Should I submit the 300 page chat records or only send a select number to NVC?

Hey saylin, thanks for the quick reply

That is why i am confused as well... to me they have received it but have not put it in the system I hope.. but i'm thinking something is wrong somewhere I've never heard of any VJ member getting the IV bill in the whole 20 days. Should i contact a supervisor or just wait it out ? I'm really begging them to send the bill so they can take my money lol

Why not send it a second time? Follow the tip in the second post for it to get it approved this week ;)

Question again. Initially for my bonafide marriage evidence, I submitted 10 pictures, 15 pages of phone call records through Vonage, 401k beneficiary change and the case was approved. Should I submit the 300 page chat records or only send a select number to NVC?

I would suggest taking just one record from each month instead of sending all 300 pages. Then you can bring all 300 pages with you to the interview.

Don't wait on NVC to email you package information. Once the bill shows as PAID in the payment portal, send the respective package.

I asked this question about a week ago, since I only sent the email template (no scanned attachment) and I got a few replies from people who had very recently been approved with ONLY the template. I haven't heard back yet, but am hoping to this week.

My NOA2 got approved on Jan 30th and got the notice on Feb 1st. I waited for exactly one week and I started calling today. I called maybe 7 or 8 times and was on hold each time for several minutes. Probably spent about 2 hours on the phone but still could not reach anyone. Is that normal or is it more because it's a Monday and they were closed last Friday?

I will continue calling but just want to get a sense of how long it usually takes to get to someone and what are good times to call to get through quickly?

Like Saylin said, don't wait on the NVC. Once the payment portal shows "PAID" for the appropriate item, the package can be sent.
