Ok so I called NVC and the lady said that system says our case has arrived at NVC today. She said to call back in 20 business days? Is that normal? Or should we call back everyday to try and get a case number??

This was already answered somewhere in this thread, but now I can't find the exact post... Don't listen to the operator, they give the "20 business day" speech to everyone. Call everyday. I can almost guarentee you'll get it way before the 20 day mark.

Hey, Saylin, I just want to say thank you -- from your blog, I finally was confirmed that I should send my DS-3032 with the OPTIN email (I read a lot of posts and wiki, but wasn't too sure and wasn't clearly instructed enough due to my poor English) and the NVC agent told me some wrong information. Finally I saw your post on your blog and it was clear and plain enough, so I followed it, now I'm in EP and choice of agent DS-3032 form was accepted! Thanks!!!

Do you mean for interview? Do you think we could get it that soon? I've heard that the whole 'they only schedule them on certain times' is rubbish and that they can schedule at any time (might be wrong though)

I'd like to know this, too. My birthday is April 30th, and I would REALLY like to be home with my hubby for my bday (wishful thinking, I know).

Well, another day, no case number. I did have a lovely conversation with Operator Rose. She had chest-high snow that she had to dig out and while we were chatting, it started snowing again. Live free or die, New Hampshire! Or just move, I suppose.

I figure by the time this is over, I'll know all of the operators and their stories. That's what happens when you're a social worker.

You guys have been getting through? Every time I dial NVC I get a busy signal!

Keep trying! I'm currently on hold with the really quiet hold music and the REALLY LOUD HOLD ANNOUNCEMENTS.

I swear, I have it on speakerphone and I almost fall out of my chair every time it blasts at me "ALL OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE STILL BUSY..."

I did, but I was on hold a massively long time. She was a little confusing at first because she made it sound like I had a case number, but then I didn't. The snow conversation made her lighten up a bit.

Our cases were received on the same date... Hopefully, soon.
