Hi guys, I have a quick question about the tax return.... Wich one is the most recent year to submitt the tax return transcript?I´m saying this because my co-sponsor didn´t file 2012 yet.

Thank you very much!

You do not need to submit the 2012 returns with your affidavits of support until the tax return due date of April 15. However, if the sponsors do file before you submit the affidavits of support, you can submit for each sponsor a copy of the tax submission with all attachments. Currently the "previous three tax years" are 2009, 2010, and 2011, but you may also include the 2012 return if you happen to have it.

If you are submitting your affidavits of support before April 15, but your visa interview will be after April 15, then you will need to bring a copy of the 2012 return with its attachments to the interview for each sponsor who filed one (assuming you did not already send one).

If you are submitting your affidavits of support after April 15, they must include a copy of the 2012 tax form with all attachments. The "previous three tax years" will be 2010, 2011, and 2012.

If the 2012 tax forms can't be submitted on time, then you can submit instead a copy of the extension that the sponsor filed, with all of its attachments.

41 days since noa2 and no case number. why is nvc taking so long to upload the case into their system? it was only 53 days at uscis for approval. nvc is so slow. :clock:

VN12 have you been told when calling NVC that "we received your Case on XXXXX?"

Cuz I too sat and called and waited with a boatload of others back in July with a NOA2 of 6/29. I just assumed it was slow. When that 15th business day hit and I did the NVC research email and they said "we don't have it. Call USCIS and see" I did and to my horror after a supervisor got online and said "ur case is just sitting here you want me to request it be sent immediately?" That was on 7/27 and on 7/30 it arrived at NVC and 18 days later on 8/17 I got my case#.

You wan to hear first

1. Ur case arrived at NVC on but u aren't in system. Some may just say u aren't in system making u think ur case is there.

2. Ur case # is

OMG is this what waiting on an interview is like. Stay busy they say. Okay I have thrown out decades of old bills, and junk to make room. Now what. Hehe

I am still basking in the glow of case complete. If you only knew what a miracle that was.

Knock knock anybody out there?

Okay this week NVC let's start it up. Me and 2Hearts have next on the list for 9ja.  :D

We ought to have some sort of "waiting on spouses" Houston meetup, seriously.

Thank you very much for your answer! It is a great relief to know this.

Another question, and sorry for being so insistent: In question number 24 c (Total House hold Income adding 24a and 24b) and number 25 ("My total income (adjuste gross income on IRS Form 1040EZ) as reported on my federal tax return for the most recent three years was:") the numbers does not match. There´s like a 3k diference (we have way more than enough money than the poverty guidelines), so we don´t know if that´s ok or we are looking to the wrong numbers.

Thank you very much again for your help!

My pleasure. :)

The total household income does not always match, I think. My actual income is actually way, WAY more than the Adjusted Gross Income because I have 22 percent of my pay taken out for a pre-tax retirement program (the 401K). Also, I had income from selling collectibles this year so I had to declare it differently. Fortunately I qualify on income alone based on just the AGI. I'm going to have to ask my CPA about this.

Does anyone else have a better answer to Raj's question?
