sure - she'll need that stuff once she's here - but it's not needed for an IV interview, at all.

The flip side? Include it, and it'll look like she's trying to include it because the H1-Cs stopped being accepted in 2009.

I ask again - where did you read that RN work-related documents were needed for the DS-230, when filing the visa application for an immigrant visa based on marriage to a USCitizen? Where? Please quote the source, and thanks in advance.

Sorry, it was an after your here need. I will delete it if needed to avoid confusion.

I am a Pediatric Nurse, and she is a RN in the Philippines. The papers are not needed for the processing of anything. I just wanted to mention, that if you or your spouse may want to bring prior work information from a current employer, with them to the new country, so they will have it with them to help get employment. Most want a previos employment history. I was puutting it out there, not to confuse but to give the idea to help others. (Maybe for a new topic) Sorry. I copied and pasted a lit of what she said she needed before she leaves the country, and while she has access to the information.

Maybe she'll try to do that too so that when she applied job here she has all the record to show.

aha ! Got it ! Apologies for sounding harsh - I get way sometimes....

Sounds like you've got it all sussed out - having work docs for new work in the USA is a godsend, always.

I have mentioned this elsewhere on the vj portal -

but -

I'm not so convinced that the casefile shipped out to NVC on same week it was approved. I'm sorta leaning towards a monthly shipment from wherever the approval occurred. MSC itself has been 7 to 10 days. Local Offices have been all over the calendar - 6 to 35 days.

For clarity, get an ISO at USCIS, and ask specifically about casefile movement out of the office that approved it. You want to know exact dates. Prior to MSC involvement - I'd write 'Get an ISO, ask the ISO to ask the adjudicator to find the find and get it in the next shipment in the next run in the mailroom' but with MSC involvement? I'm sorta clueless on exact verbiage ...

is your file at NVC and not assigned a case number yet? or it's not even there yet? which is it?

my file took I think 33 days or so to get to the NVC, but we called almost everyday and talked to an ISO, put a service request in twice and finally got the word that it was received by the NVC on Jan 18, took exactly 2 weeks for them to assign a case number after they received it.
