Im the beneficiary if its I will be the one to call or my husband. In USCIs they will only want to talk to the Petioner. Thank you Sorry many questions thank you again

You know, this I'm not entirely sure about. I've seen some people saying that USCIS will only talk to the petitioner because at that stage there is no verified link between the petitioner and beneficiary. By the NVC stage, it's been accepted that they're an actual couple, so beneficiaries CAN call. You could give it a shot! The worst thing that could happen would be for them to tell you they can't give you the info.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

The beneficiary can call. I don't talk on the phone unless absolutely necessary (it's a weird quirk), so I've made my husband (the beneficiary) call every time. I don't know that they even asked who he was, I only remember him having to give our receipt number.

I just wanted to share our progress in case it'll give people hope, as that's what I've been lurking around here for for months. We received NOA2 on January 14. Since then we've called every few days and they haven't had a case number yet. We were due to call again today, but instead I received an email with our case and IIN numbers, and immediately afterwards, the AOS invoice. Incredibly good timing since we just received the I-864 from our co-sponsor today as well. So...progress!

I got Approved January 29 finally after long wait. On to NVC

Grats on the approval!

Hello everyone! So happy to be here. Our I130 got approved on February 5, 2013. Waiting for NVC to receive our file.

Congrats on the recent approval!

Hi, I got my approval last January 29,2013. How would I know If NVC got my documents now. Do I need to call or wait for another week, All my documents were completed Im just waiting NVC to send IIN number.

You need to call to find out if NVC got your case. Since it's been a week since your approval, it's time to start calling every single day to inquire if a case number has been assigned.

The beneficiary can 100% call. I was the only one that called NVC for our case as my husband was too busy. I never had a problem as the beneficiary. If you do call, make sure you have on hand the USCIS receipt number. When the case number is assigned, they'll ask for some information, so make you have this handy as well: both of your full names, both of your birth dates, and both of your email addresses.

Please don't post the same question twice. I already answered you above along with other members answering you as well...

I just called NVC the lady I spoke to is nice. My papers are not yet In Their system they ask me to call 1 more week.

Don't listen to the operators. Call back again tomorrow, and every single day afterwards (except weekends, obviously) until you get the numbers.

Received an email with a PDF attachment about my obligation to pay the AOS fee, and in it it had our Ecuadorian address - only it was our old address from nearly a year ago when we started the process. Call NVC to update it, and the guy I talked to told me NVC had never emailed me such a letter. I had to read it to him so he would believe me. Anyway, he updated our address just in case. Don't want any excuse for delays when we submit the paperwork. :star:

Silly NVC headbonk.gif Glad the operator updated your address though. On your next call (for whatever reason), confirm that they have your most up to date address, just to make sure the operator updated it correctly.
