What is anyone's take on submitting additional relationship evidence in the IV package? I didn't get an RFE during the petition process, I'm not too worried about it at the consular stage, but I'd like to hear thoughts about why or why not to include more content.

Yes I did and most of us do that are dealing with Nigeria. If new developments occurred between filing and NVC its a must is not the time (so many CO's say) to present evidence.

Your embassy is MENA high fraud also. If you feel you didn't "front-load" and have more evidence (a trip, emails, IM's pics) why not.

I had lost my whole backpack with 6 1/2 months worth of my stay and had no pics to send in with petition. 14 months later during NVC the backpack was found and it was added with other items with the DS-230 package.

This seems to depend a lot on where the beneficiary is from. You are from a high fraud country so it has been encouraged on these boards to include additional evidence at the NVC stage. Not a lot, but time passes between each stage and it may be beneficial to send updated items showing the relationship continuing to evolve. If it were me, I would do it.

I front loaded with pictures from our first trip in canada, my trip to morocco, pics with his family, and our wedding, including pics with my family, my grandma and his mom, etc. I also included up to that point email conversations from the very start of our relationship until I filed in October; phone records, text records, I think chat records, skype records. I had 4 notarized affidavits - one from each of our parents.

I obviously have a ton more since it's been four more months - in theory, I could include pics from our vacation in December, emails, whatsapp, skype, facebook, facebook chats with his family members, I could have my parents emails to and from him and every email that my dad sends to my brother and myself, my husband is also included on since he's family. Photos of cards from family members with well wishes for him...

I'm just trying to decide if I need to.

One more thing that I noticed just now was that my husband's PCC has his occupation as "student" when he's not a student.

My list told me to bring the most recent transcript but I'm also bringing the two previous years as well. I'm just glad that our interview falls before this year's taxes would be required!

Even though 2012 isn't required, it's still a good idea to bring the 2012 W2s with you, in case they want it.

Just got done talking to the DOS. Explained to her my situation and she doesn't show my case being shipped to Delhi in her system. I'm confused. Time to go to the gym and take my anger out on the weights. Flipping joke. :crying:

blink.gif I suggest calling up USCIS tomorrow and asking a few operators if the case was indeed sent abroad. And call up DOS a few times as well. Always remember, just because one operator says something doesn't mean another operator will say something different. You need to take the majority.

Dear all,

I have few questions -

1) We have paid the I-864 bill and printed the cover page . Do we need to wait for the actual mailing package from nvc before mailing our i864 package?

2) I has been informed that the choice of agency form has been accepted. When will I receive the aos bill?? After that , do I have to wait for the aos package before mailing in the package?!

Thanks

Polly

1. Don't wait for correspondence from NVC. Once the bill shows as PAID, you can send the AOS package. I never actually got any information about the AOS package from NVC. Good thing I didn't wait laughing.gif

2. *IV bill, not AOS bill. And the IV bill should be invoiced within a few days. And again, no, you don't need to wait for information from NVC to send a package.

So today the NVC emailed my husband the NVC ID number, IIN and Beneficiary ID number. In fact we got two emails (both to his address), one for me (the principal applicant) and one for him (addressed to him by name). We didn't call them at all so I guess this means they got my husbands email from the I-130 petition? Do we still have to call them and give them my email? I don't really have a problem with everything going through my husband's email, does it mean that he can mail the choice of agent form for me? It seems kinda weird.

Did you send a G-1145 with the I-130 petition? Cause that's likely where they got the email address. But I still suggest calling up NVC and giving your email address.

I called NVC last night and inquired about the AOS paperwork and they said it has been accepted. Then I get a check list today. I don't see anything on checklist but to pay fee. Am I reading this correct??

[...]

False checklist based on them reviewing and accepting your AOS package ;)

1. Got our NVC case # today!

2. Wife sent DS-3032 by email.

3. Now we wait for the fee bills. :clock:

Grats! kicking.gif

For MENA countries, it's an incredibly good idea to send evidence with the IV package. Frequently, if not all the time, the officers in MENA countries have already made their decision on your file before the interview. So, give them as much evidence as you can.

Print out more evidence it is.

So let me ask this next question, I will obviously include a cover letter of the contents of the documents included....what would I label the additional evidence as?

This is a question that probably has a difficult answer but here goes. Maybe someone knows or can point me towards the right direction.

My wife is from Iran and in the I-130 I had put Abu Dhabi since there are a limited number of consular posts where Iranian citizens can interview.

She is living in New Delhi for the past several years and does not need a Persian translator (which is why most people choose Abu Dhabi, Naples etc.).

My question is, is it possible for me to request for a change of consulate? And if so, what would be a good time to do that?

I have not received my case number yet (been calling every day) but I hope to get it soon. Is that when I should ask for the change in consulate?

Does anyone know if it is better to stick with Abu Dhabi or go through the more uncommon route of an Iranian interviewing in New Delhi?

Just label it as 'Additional Proof of Relationship Evidence' yes.gif

I'd say go with the embassy which has less of a backlog, thus faster interview date. You might also want to consider which one's easier to go through.

If you do need to change the embassy, you should call up NVC and ask about that asap. I'm thinking you'll need to change it right away.

I see that many people put their choice of consulate on the I-130 form even though the question doesn't actually relate to them. The question ( part c question 22) actually is talking about someone is living in the United States who will be filing for visa abroad.

I got mixed answers about what you should put and so I left it blank. In the case of Iranians it makes sense since they don't have acess to embassy/consulate in native country.

However, from what I have read it seems the NVC chooses the consulate even if you write which one you "prefer". For example if you write Ankara it might still give you Abu Dhabi. I think this is based on availability of interviews that is why it is done this way.

Are you sure Iranians can file at New Dheli for immigrant visas? It says online the places Iranians can file our Ankara, Abu Dhabi, Naples, Vienna, Frankfurt

http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9217.com

Floyd I have a question since your wife is iranian for the NVC stage IV packet, what did you do for the birth certificate/schenasname? Did you actually send in the original or did you send in a certified copy or what? I am confused about what I should do.

Sorry. I just want some clarifications. The IV bill will be invoiced after the Choice of Agency has been accepted? Or invoiced with the AOS bill at the same time? I logged in to the payment portal, I see AOS bill marked as PAID but I can't locate the IV bill. Am I missing anything? Many thanks for help.

CHECKLIST

February 27, 2013

NVC Case Number: CSBXXXXXXXXXX

Dear Petitioner:

We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant

visa. Please review the information listed under each applicant's name and provide any documents

which are indicated as missing or need additional information. You must submit the required

information. Failure to provide the requested information will delay your immigrant visa interview.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: Immigrant

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______FEE PAYMENT:_________________________________________________

We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s). Please submit the fee payment(s) according

to the instructions on the IV fee bill sent to you from NVC. DO NOT SEND FEE PAYMENTS TO

THE NVC NEW HAMPSHIRE FACILITY. THIS WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF THE VISA. If

you have not received an IV fee bill, please contact NVC. Do not pay the fees unless you have the

accompanying IV fee bill as this will result in a delay in processing your case.

No interview will be scheduled until ALL of the information requested has been returned to the National

Visa Center.

Effective April 13, 2012, the Department of State will decrease the immigrant visa application

processing fees for all immigrant visa petition types. Your immigrant visa application processing fee bill

will be resent on or after April 13, 2012.

The immigrant visa application processing fees will be reduced to the following amounts:

• Immediate relative and family preference applications – $230.00 per applicant

• Employment-based visa applications – $405.00 per applicant

• Other immigrant visa applications (including I-360) – $220.00 per applicant

False checklist. I got the same one, under the same circumstances. You'll pay the IV bill after it's invoiced (if you haven't already), so don't freak out. I can say that NOW, but I TOTALLY panicked when I saw the email.
