You read it wrong, check below under "Identity certificates".

Birth Certificates in Iran are actually Shenasnameh's they are identity certificates and much more important in Iranian society than a birth certificate is in other societies.

Again the problem is how to get a certified copy of the Shenasnameh to give to the NVC, since sending the original is not recommended or possible. Taking the original to the interview won't be a problem.

Oops! blush.gif You might want to consider sending all the other documents. Include a photocopy of the birth certificate and write up a letter stating what you wrote above, about not being to mail the birth certificate and such. Mention that the original birth certificate will be brought to the interview. I've seen this work many times and is probably your only option.

Have you called operators at NVC to ask?

I had brought all 3 past years (2008, 2009, 2010) which we had submitted to NVC, plus the current year (2011) that we had just filed two months prior (which weren't sent to NVC at the time as my husband filed taxes after we sent the AOS package). If I remember correctly, they handed back the previous years and just kept a copy of 2011's tax transcript. But, being that my interview was nearly 2 years ago now, I'm not completely sure laughing.gif

You should still have a copy of the previous years with you, if possible, in case they do request it. Remember, it's better to be slightly over-prepared than slightly under-prepared. Would you really want to be put into AP for a few weeks just because you didn't bring tax information? ;)

No of course not, I want to be as prepared as I can be. Just received the package hubby sent me with all of our documents and 2010,2009 taxes weren't in there, he said he sent them, but I don't see them! Now I have to have him scan and email them to me. I just wish they could hurry up and schedule my interview date, I'm going crazy calling everyday and hearing them say NO over and over again :(

Definitely get the scanned copies.

And the trick is to imagine hearing YES the date has been scheduled ;)

Just because the bill showed up before doesn't mean it'll show up again if you're not using IE. So make sure you're using IE, don't guess.

Saylin,

On the day of your interview, does Montreal consulate require to see the past 3 years of taxes or just the most recent one? (the one submitted to the NVC). We only submitted the most recent year

My list told me to bring the most recent transcript but I'm also bringing the two previous years as well. I'm just glad that our interview falls before this year's taxes would be required!

Make sure when he scans them he does a high enough resolution! My husband scanned his and they were NOT high res enough which left someone at NVC unable to read it clearly and we wound up with a checklist. It was easy to see on the monitor but when printed (which they must have done) it wound up fuzzy. Two other adjudicators were able to read the same document for me and son#1 but whoever was reading son#2 couldn't make it out the first time and we had to resubmit!

Just got done talking to the DOS. Explained to her my situation and she doesn't show my case being shipped to Delhi in her system. I'm confused. Time to go to the gym and take my anger out on the weights. Flipping joke. :crying:

Dear all,

I have few questions -

1) We have paid the I-864 bill and printed the cover page . Do we need to wait for the actual mailing package from nvc before mailing our i864 package?

2) I has been informed that the choice of agency form has been accepted. When will I receive the aos bill?? After that , do I have to wait for the aos package before mailing in the package?!

Thanks

Polly

No, don't need to wait.

The accept of choice of agency will invoice the IV Application bill. Aos bill should have been invoiced once NVC sent you the email containing choice of agency form. The only thing you need to wait for is the cover sheets for both AOS bill and IV bill. Once the payment portal shows the bill status is paid, the cover sheet will be generated (AOS has its cover sheet, IV has its cover sheet). Then you can print out the cover sheet and include it into the corresponding package that you'll send to NVC.

So today the NVC emailed my husband the NVC ID number, IIN and Beneficiary ID number. In fact we got two emails (both to his address), one for me (the principal applicant) and one for him (addressed to him by name). We didn't call them at all so I guess this means they got my husbands email from the I-130 petition? Do we still have to call them and give them my email? I don't really have a problem with everything going through my husband's email, does it mean that he can mail the choice of agent form for me? It seems kinda weird.
