Take a few deep breaths before you meet and before hugging him. Deep breaths gives you serene and calming effect.

The second thing is, be yourself. Being your normal self and relating to him the same during both of your happy moments in the past, especially in the first few minutes will help break the ice and tension.

Lastly, please do NOT drink any alcohol before meeting him. Alcohol can impair judgment, so meeting him is not the best time to be drunk, because you will need that clear mind to introduce your son to his dad in order for them get to know each other.

I wish you the very best!

Sure Fiona! There's nothing wrong with showing your emotion and having tears of joy during such a reunion!

Let the tears flow, but smile while they flow, OK? :) And the advice about deep breaths is a good one. You will be so excited you will forget to breathe.

And I give you permission to feel all of the conflicting happy emotions and to let them wash out all the pain of being apart. Everything you feel is OK because it's genuine. Let it roll over you and then just be happy together, sweetie.

So happy for you guys Fiona. Mabrook....or as I like to say as US wife of an Arab man...mabrookulations!!! Which airport is he flying in to? I can remember the waiting for him to come out of immigration, the wait seemed like it took hours, when in reality it was only about 20 minutes after his flight landed. Such an amazing, exciting feeling. It was so surreal when I saw him walk through those doors, after all the waiting and worrying he was FINALLY HERE!!!!!. Just no words to describe the emotions of the day. I remember being in the airport and posting on facebook of him arriving, it was such an incredible moment, I was crying from joy that he had arrived...when I got home there was a message from his sister on the picture, she and his mom were crying because they were heartbroken that he had left them... I was so happy for us...but so sad for them. As a mom I could feel their pain. Anyway, It will be amazing. Try to get some sleep the night before. My hubby has been here for almost 4 months and he is adjusting very well!!! Keep us updated
