I agree. it doesn't matter what way you file you have to meet in person. And lots of Muslim's and Christian's meet first. My husband is Muslim and I am Christian and we spent a week together before getting married. I don't think that is a valid reason for not meeting.

I agree, I also met my fiance and he is also a muslim and I am christian.

I remember his last thread well. His fiancee claimed that it was against cultural customs for them to meet (even though this is totally untrue in Pakistan) but in fact she just couldn't be bothered to meet him because she was too busy / didn't have the money to travel. Everything about this guy's story is a hot mess and he'll be in for a rude awakening when the inevitable denial comes.

Adeel - your fiancee clearly doesn't care about your relationship. She's not willing to go meet you, which is a basic requirement, and she LIED to USCIS about the reason for waiving the meeting requirement. Your case is doomed.

not that I am condoning the use of language, but some food for thought...maybe the reason (despite the posters claim that it is because they are of separate religions)they have not met is because the Pakistani cannot come to the US because he would need to get a visa, which is nearly impossible to do, and the American cannot go to Pakistan because she would need to get a visa to go there, and could potentially have some safety concerns especially depending on where he is from.

You can meet on neutral territory...

I am not sure why are you so upset about waiting? There is no point in waiting. You WILL be denied 100%. Instead of waiting and taking it on USCIS employees why don't you go meet in person.. or stop bashing USCIS and start bashing yourself for not meeting. I just don't understand the point in waiting. Everyone here already told you: don't wait. Forget about this filing: it is lost money and lost time. Don't wait. Go plan to meet in person.

In addition, I recall you said you wrote a letter stating that you cannot meet due to religious laws. Everyone advised you to withdraw petition because not only that you will be denied but also may be charged with misrepresentation and get ban forever. Why didn't you do this??

Indeed, but remember only she as the petitioner could withdraw the petition and according to him she wouldn't do it. This guy's fiancee really royally screwed him over, not just now, but probably for the future as well. He deserves better and can surely find much better back home in Pakistan.

Totally! Also I don't know but why someone would want to spend the rest of his/her life with someone that hasn't even met yet when that person is free to choose whom to marry (I say it for the USC). Because sometimes you seepictures, webcam but when you see the person is either stunning or disappointing, what if you don't like something about that person that isn't catch on the phone, online for example hmmm Good luck anyways on your journey!!

You do realize Pakistan is not a favored country by the U.S. right? No offense but there is a lot of concern

about that area.
