Hello,

I'll be interviewed in the beginning of Feb.

Now I need to fill in DS-156,

Item 36: Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?

Since we filed I-129F before,Should I fill in "yes" with my American petitioner's name?

And Can I fill in DS-156,DS-157,DS-156K,GNI-2 by hand?

There's barcode to be filled on DS-156, Will the visa officer give me the barcode when I'm in the interview?

Thank you!

Item 36: No. Because K1 is technically a non-immigrant visa.

You need to fill out the DS-156 online. It will be processed and the final form will have a barcode on it.

For the rest, DS-157 and DS-156K, they can be handwritten. Just make sure it is legible.

Thank you, where can I fill in DS-156 online? On official website, DS-156 isn't able to be filled online.

Online form is here, you fill it out, hit next, and then it gives you a filled out version to print out:

https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

On the other hand, for example, the Ukrainian embassy has this form in Ukrainian too which is just a PDF that you can fill out in Ukrainian, which doesn't get a bar code (they say you can fill the form out in English or Ukrainian). They also have a link to it in English that is just a PDF with no barcode. I assume the embassy will accept it either way, since they are the ones linking to the PDFs and not to the online form.
