Hi all, happy new to everyone.

Im about to apply for my AOS n it says i have to bring a copy of my NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F. I would like to say i never got one. I once called USCIS to request for it but was told all my document had been sent to Accra.

I would like to know from all. How do I get a copy of my NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F from USCIS ?

I need this ASAP. Kindly advise n help.

Thanks.

The USCitizen Petitioner would have received this via postal mail.

The Beneficiary (you) would have never received this - NOA-2s are never sent to the Beneficiary.

Contact your USCitizen Petitioner, and ask what's up.

This topic came up over a year ago and thought it was no Big Deal to ask for another NOA2 Approval Document for Free. I was Dead WRONG I learned. Last I heard that Fee for a copy was $405.00 USD. I looked up what Members stated in that post and they were correct. I don't remember all the details.

The Link was removed.. sorry

Hopefully, you have a scanned copy in your computor somewhere. (I'm unaware of USCIS sending a Copy to a e-mail address as it is delivered as a Hard Copy through the mail)

As Darnell Stated: It would ONLY go to the the Petitioner so seek and find.

well, if the petitioner never got the I-797C formletter,

then the petitioner will have to purchase a replacement.

I agree this is correct if lost. ONLY the Petitioner can request a Replacement Document for the NOA2. I HOPE YOU CAN FIND IT

So the Hard Copy was never recieved due to moving or other events which led to "No Hard Copy in Hand". Yes, call them immediately and explain EVERYTHING. Remember, they are going to follow POLICY. But they will HOPEFULY, give you the steps to take at this point. Don't offer Money at first and listen to their options. They will get to that if/and needed. There will be Forms to fill-out if this is the worst case scenerio where money is needed for replacement. This is where you ask innocent questions and be quite and wait for a reply. Write down everything. Ask them to document your conversation which they do anyway at the end of the phone call and then ask them to repeat the steps they instructed to clarify your case. Say Thank you no matter what!

People have filed successfully without it. Read through this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/353607-no-noa2-to-send-with-aos/

There is lots of good info there and links to other posts with even more info about it. Good luck!

I don't know if this would help but I needed the number off my Naturalization Certificate for the K1 visa application but I no longer have the hard copy so I made an infopass appt and was able to get the number and the date issued etc. from them. For those here with experience with the process, will an infopass appt help?

I/we never received an NOA2 for the I-129F either, and just successfully did my AOS without it. The thread linked above has a lot of good information. Basically, when I sent in my AOS package, I included a letter that explained that it had never been received by the petitioner or myself, and attached copies of everything else we had -- the NOA1, a screen shot of the USCIS site showing the petition was approved, etc.

I had my AOS interview this morning and it wasn't even mentioned.

My thought was that I would rather try to get by without it and possibly have to figure something out after the interview, than to spend hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. It worked for me.

Good luck!

The K-1 Visa journey for myself and my two K-2 children:

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

ROC: NOA1 11-7-14; Biometrics 12-1-14; 10-yr Green cards ordered 4-13-15! (157 days total)

Counting down to naturalization time!

So, smells like the petitioner has an issue with 'returned mail pieces' with USCIS.

USPS never forwards anything from USCIS, as there's a printed thing on the outside of each mail piece 'Postmaster, do not forward'

Have the Petitioner call into USCIS, get an ISO, and then give over the USCIS receipt #, asking:

Do you have any returned mail pieces on me?

If the answer is YES - go over the correct address with the ISO, and ask the ISO to have the returned mail pieces remailed to the correct address.

Good Luck, and let us know the outcome ?
