Question About 10-year Residency- Vietnamese HCMC

Hello All,

I have a question about 10-year of residency. I live with my ex-girl friend and her family for 7 years (father & mother, and her younger brother). We have a daughter together.

However, after I broke up with my ex-girl friend, I and her family are not really friendly any more. As I understand that in my 10-year Residency, I have to list all of them and their phone numbers, ect....How do I do this? Please give me some advices. Thank you very much.

What Visa are you trying to submit for? IR1/CR1?

Are you talking abt the G325A form and the 10 years where you live?

Or what is it you are referring to that you need to submit names and phone numbers?

If you are talking about the G325A form, all you need is the physical address where you lived.

I am USC and This is for my wife in Vietnam. I think this is the requirement for the Vietnamese Petitioners in HCMC. If any of the Vietnamese who has the experience about this, please give me some advices. Thank you.

you only have to proved the 10 year residency if its required.

something about after the interview?

i may be mistaken...but i would figure if you remember the address and their relationship to you than that would suffice.

if you dont have a number for them they can't blame you since you no longer stay in contact with them.

They rarely ask for this, when they do, you just list where you lived, dates, and who lived there.. IMO no need for phone numbers.

On our Blue Slip they asked me to list my current residence with all the phone numbers- from our Blue Slip dated 01/03/2013:

PETITIONER: In an original signed, notarized statement, please list your current residential address and telephone numbers (home landline number, work, and cell). Include all residences for the past ten years, beginning and end date of the time period at each residence, and the full name and date of birth of each person residing with you at each address, along with a description of your relationship with the person ("cousin, spouse" etc.) NOTE: ALL SWORN, NOTARIZED STATEMENTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH

They also required the same from the Beneficiary.

Hope this helps with understanding what they are looking for.

And today - 01/31/2013 the visa was approved!

I really don't know as the paperwork I had already submitted showed I've lived in the same residence (and own) for the past 25 years.

This is a tactic they use to give them time to make a decision or do additional work on the case. A way to drag things out and put a hurdle in front of you. It does not happen that often anymore, but it is best to have it done in case they request it. Better off being prepared... All too often in the past they would issue a blue slip asking for something and would not take it even if you had it in hand.. thus the idea that it is a stall tactic.

I'm lucky...My permanent resident was one location. yay!
