Yup. She can transit through the POE, with or without paying the fee.

If it gets sketchy about 60 days after the POE date, well, you probably are gonna pay the fee.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Do you have any sense as to what percentage of Guangzhou interviews end in denial? In scheduling of another interview?

12-Nov-2013 -- Received email from ustraveldocs: "Ready for pickup"

14-Nov-2013 -- Wife picked up passport/visa from local CITIC bank

14-Nov-2013 -- Paid Immigrant Fee on USCIS website

07-Mar-2014 -- POE = Washington Dulles Airport

FYI to all. My wife visa was stamped on the Jan 30th. We received her Green Card today. So if your spouses visa was stamp prior to Feb 1st no need to pay the new fee.

Again many thanks for the info that help me through with this process.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

no need to go to ssa. It arrived the same day the green card did. Thank god. I applied for a ssn when I filed the DS-230. Didn't even have to go to ssa office. But DMV was a different story. I hate that place.

Congrats! I'm enjoying my last day in China for a while. It's been a pretty long 8 years! Back to the States tomorrow!

Regarding the new $165 fee, is the date the visa was issued the one that matters? Or when it's actually stamped in the states?
