01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

07/31/12 - Emailed GZO Supplemental Packet 3.

08/02/12 - Case completed and commenced final review.

08/03/12 - Shipped all copies of forms/letters/documents to my wife - arriving on 8/9/12.

08/06/12 - Case completed final review.

08/09/12 - Appointment letter received via email interview date set 9/6/12.

08/14/12 - Medical exam done.

08/15/12 - Medical exam results all normal.

09/06/12 - Submitted required documents at the embassy and interview set next day at 0730.

usually takes 1 month for your spouse to get it in mail. check the ems number in 3 weeks. call dos in 2 weeks just to reconfirm status.

Just got off the phone with dos hotline. Wifey got granted visa yesterday!!!! Does that mean the package will be on it's way shortly? Can't wait!!!!

not sent yet.

status 2 from the list, indicates that the packet is sitting in the mailroom at the IV unit waiting for EMS to pick it up.

re: items 3-5 - these are optional, be blessed if you not get them, aye?

Did you learn, from your wife, what city she is having the visa packet sent to?

Congrats!!! :dance:

It took about two weeks for my wife to receive her passport, with the affixed visa, in the mail. She lived about 1200 miles north of Guangzhou. :thumbs:

Wifey is about two hours away from Guangzhou. Does that mean it's faster?

Darnell, if it's officially approved, visa stamp should be on passport awaiting to be picked up? Does anyone knows how often EMS comes around for pick up?

alrighty. Guangzhou IV is busy, prepping her visa packet plus the 100s that were approved this week.

At some point, those visa packets will be ready and EMS will swing by to pick em up.

Could be ming tian (Friday) or might be next week.

Keep Calling DoS Hotline till you hear 'visa packet sent' for current casefile status.

After that? figure 2 to 7 days.

Wifey received visa yesterday!!!!! Does anyone know if I need to pay the new immigration fee of 165 since her visa was issued on 1/30/2013 but visa in hand on 2/4? Booked plane ticket back to China next week to pick her up!!! Surprisingly the airfare was fairly cheap!!

eh - look at the visa stamp in passport - what's the date of issuance?

you're on the cusp, the edge of wetness here - I know if on or after 1 FEB, ya gotta pay, but -

do check the dates in the visa, K?
