Again, my focus was NOT to critique OP's writing skills but rather think of how best to help her.

Hypnos, thank you for that voice of reason. I really mean well for the OP's fiance even though they're facing a huge problem. I regret the distraction that came off of her topic. That I'm very sorry for.

However, I do not apologize because someone finds my dissent offensive. That I'm sorry I don't regret at all. He and his 'friends' dislike it so much when someone dare disagree with them. They try to drown you out because someone dared to step on their toes by having a different opinion. He can make all the diaparaging remarks he wants, I will not stoop to his level. I am here to disappoint him because I wouldn't tow (toe?)his line and will continue to express my opinions. That I don't apologize for!

You are quite, well.... "out there".... you pride yourself (it seems) on the knowledge of the English language, and yet you don't grasp the difference between the idiom and the name for the scholarly article.

Oh, and yes, those obscure website just show how limited you are in the knowledge of the language that you try to instill upon this forum.

Have a nice day.

------------------

Oh and on top of that, you don't even understand that you are wrong (which I think is just how it works on your planet Kolob).

My advice - get someone to translate things for you.

"Thinking with a tendency toward or centering on a particular idea with a particular affect." does not equal "The connections that link the various parts of an event or argument together".

When you started these shenanigans with your "corrections" the poster that you first "corrected" used the phrase exactly like it's supposed to be used.

And in the end.... After having written all this I feel like a dumba$$, because I should've heeded "san diego's" advice and just stopped. But I'm going to post this anyway, because your ignorance is infuriating.

Well, I won't go into the gutter with you. The rest of your comments doesn't deserve a response!

Have a great night.

Like others here at VJ, I have been captivated by this particular thread because it reads like a romantic adventure novel. If I could say one thing to Sina1t - it would be to think very hard about this. By your own words, she was in the US before and was about to be deported so she married. She later missed the one meeting that would allow her to be here permanently because of a vacation. Then some time later she meets you and again in your own words, was about to be deported so she attempted to get married. She is an "animal rights" activist who happens to be half Jewish.

You may be absolutely madly in love, but seriously, this story smells bad on so many levels.

You say you are an American citizen, but your spelling and use of our language indicates otherwise.

I hope you get it worked out, it is one fascinating story, I just think it is missing one key element. TRUTH!

Nope! It's obvious you are the funny one...I'm lol with you.

Marty? I doesn't understand why Boggy don't want to argue with you. I think his comments are trending toward a particular train of thought that is somewhat foreign to me. It is a good thing he is here on a forum about foreign subjects though.

Anita Bryant's son fell in love with her right when she came to the states she married left for vacation to France but not from fear of being deported and she came back now I met her fell in love and I hope this works out it will prove there's still heart left in our broken immigration system not that other countries have it better.

It's still pretty hard to comprehend what you are trying to say.

If you are not trolling (which is a huge IF) - there's zero to none chance anything is going to come out of your situation, sorry.

I actually thought maybe there's something I might be missing because of human laziness and I saw a success story on here after a person was deported and was given a visa but I am not trolling its the other way around Im entertaining some of you so I will do an update after the court date next week.

If someone has been deported, they can file for a 212 waiver to be allowed to reapply for admission to the U.S. Some other inadmissibilities can be waived by filing a 601. There are particular requirements for each waiver that needs to be researched carefully - qualifying relative, extreme hardship, aggravating factors, etc. At this point your attention should be on hoping your fiance is not found to have filed a "frivolous" claim for asylum. That finding would lead her to a permanent bar from the country without the opportunity for a waiver (I believe).
