Notifying USCIS of change of address

Hello all,

I am currently a conditional permanent resident through marriage to a USC. My husband and I are moving to a new apartment in the next few days. I know I'm legally required to let USCIS know soon after this happens by filing a form AR-11, which I plan on doing online.

My question is, does my husband (sponsor) also need to notify them of the same change of address, or is it just me (the immigrant)? I don't know if that makes any difference, but back when my CR-1 was approved we used a co-sponsor, as we did Direct Consular Filing back in the UK and my husband did not have a US income at the time. They didn't even keep my husband's tax returns, they only kept the co-sponsor's documents. The co-sponsor has not changed address, nor are they going to any time soon.

I know my husband remains my primary sponsor, regardless of whether a co-sponsor was used. But I don't know if he also has to file for change of address with USCIS. If that is the case, do we do it together using form AR-11, or does he need to file a separate form? And if so, which one?

Many thanks for your help!

P.S. I know my profile says that I'm pending removal of conditions, but that is not accurate, as my window for filing does not open until mid-March. So right now I have no pending cases with USCIS - if that makes any difference in the change of address requirements.

One less thing to worry about then :) as we have a whole list of organizations and companies we need to notify of our address change once we move :P

People that sponsored you via an I-864 are required to submit an I-865 for a change of address.

If they do not then you may experience issues at RoC and / or naturalisation.

Yes, he did complete an I-864 for me, even though we ended up using the co-sponsor's US income to qualify, so I guess what you said applies to him then.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.
