I understand that USCIS now only requires Tax Return for the most current year but, does my husband also need to submit his W2s? Or will the Return Transcript from the IRS be enough? I'm getting a little more confused everyday. Is it just me?

Thanks!

Thanks!

You can do one of two things:

-Submit photocopies of the tax return form. If you do this, you MUST include the W-2.

-Submit IRS generated tax transcripts, available fast and free from the IRS.

I sent just the tax transcripts, and we still got an RFE. I'd say send all the tax/financial info you've got, just to be safe.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

Oh that sucks that you got an RFE for it. From the sound of it, you shouldn't have!

But thanks for the heads up. I think we'll send both as well.

It says on the application to submit A> Tax transcript or B> Copy of tax return, W-2 and that other form, the one u fill out to figure how much tax should be taken off.

I guess if you have both, submit both, but accroding the instructions, you need one or the other.

Lots of people get RFEs for stuff they've already sent, so we just kind of went with the flow. Specifically, our RFE asked for tax returns and W-2s, as well as a letter of employment from my employer. We hadn't sent either of those the first time around, so we sent them both the second time. I'd include all that, if you have it available.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

I've checked and recehecked the instructions and to me it reads that you shouldn't attach a photocopy of your tax return (etc), if you sent in the tax transcript. Talk about confusing. I've included a letter from my husband's employer, a recent pay stub and a letter outlining why he had no income in 2004 (he was living in Canada with me unemployed). I hope this'll be enough, my nerves are starting to get rattled, as I'm sure happens to many people.

I know what you mean. It's like, the instructions seem very clear and yet you hear of RFEs being sent out. It can be very a frustrating, nerve-racking thing to go through. And yet we do it. If only to be with the one we love. *sigh*:blush:
