Hello VJers,

I am preparing my packet 3, I still haven't received the instructions but I wanted to know if we need to send any of the documents with packet 3? or do we just check on the checklist and just take it to the interview?? (BC, Police Cert, Marriage Cert)

another question, my package will be sent from my attorney's office in the states...which address do they send it to from the states? I know on their website they've listed two addresses, so I'm assuming to the one they say from within the united states? and does it matter if it's fedexed??

Hi EmilyS! You do not need to send in any documents - just the checklist. The documents are just brought to the interview. I'm not sure I understand the other part of your question - which packet are you referring to? Packet 3 is just a checklist and if you are sending it to the Vancouver Consulate, you can just fax it in. If it's Montreal, I'm not sure what the process is. Hope this helps!

If the OP filled out their profile correctly they are an IR1/CR1, which has a different process than K1s (and, AFAIK they don't get a packet 3?) Also all IR1/CR1s go to Montreal.

guys my timeline is correct...I can't put in both K3 and CR-1 and that's why only one of them show.

My K3 is currently at the montreal consualate and I am waiting for packet3 instructions....Does anyone know if K1 and K3 documents/forms intake are the same? except for the DS-160 that only applies to K1 applicants...I've read something about not ever receiving your packet 3 instructions multiple times here on VJ.

Will they email me packet 3 instructions or mail it? the consulate received my case from NVC on Januargy 22...how long does it take for them to generate packet 3 and send it to me?

My CR-1 process is at a stand still at the NVC and I'm hoping that this K3 moves along quickerrrrr
