passport for my 1 year old.. ?

Hi to everyone.. ! My husband is going to attend a 3 days convention for his company to Las Vegas, and he is taking us with him. Problem is, our daughter dont have a passport yet. So quistion is, do we need to get her a passport even we are only travelling inside the United States ?

Any information and advice will appriciated, Thanks all in advance ! :)

Do we have to bring her Birth Certificate atleast ? Just in case ? :unsure: or are we really good to go ? lol. Sorry guys just really dont want to get any problem in the middle of our trip when we have our little one with us.

You don't need to carry your son's BC anymore than John would need to carry his BC or passport. Did you ask John about needing a passport to travel within the USA?

Lol he told me already we dont need it. But I just wanna make sure. So I guess his right noh :blink: . btw, thanks for the reply lol.

Some possibly bad advice on this thread.

If you are FLYING, you do need the child's birth certificate - a photocopy will do. Passport, of course not, domestically, but I have always needed a copy of a birth certificate when flying with my kids domestically.

I did a search and found nothing from TSA that requires that, or anything from an airlines. There was a news article where they say its encouraged to have a copy of the BC but no requirement. Did find where a consent letter (from the other parent) is required if a parent is traveling solo with a child.

With that said, its not a bad idea to have a copy in your wallet.
