Goodmorning to all. First Time on the board to post, this forum has been very helpful and I have decided to join.

I filed for my K-1 visa for my fiance and received the NOA1 on September 17, 2012. I have a couple of questions.

1. Is it true that on the 5 month from the NOA1 you can call the VSC and have them expedite/touch your case?

2. From the time of the NOA2 what has been the length of time to the Montreal interview?

3. What is the length of time from the NOA2 to K1 visa in hand? (in general)

Current processing times are actually around 6 months (not 5). It is possible to have the case expedited because it is outside of normal processing times; however, you are still well within normal processing times. In order for this expedite to occur, I believe you (at this time) need to be 7 months after NOA1, as the rule seems to be normal processing times + 30 days. The length of time between NOA2 and visa in hand can vary widely and depends on several factors including the embassy processing your case and what their current case load is.

welcome to visajourney,you need a good reason to expedite your case, like emergency medical, hardship,military,no one can say how long your file will be approved,just be patient,your close.
