Hello Folks,

I am getting ready to file form I-485 based on an approved I-130 petition from my dad. I was wondering whether I am still required to have a TB Skin Test Administered, for the purposes of Form I-693, if I already had one administered when I came to the United States 6 years ago, with an H4 status, before I was admitted to High School. It is shown on a yellow document called "Immunization Record" and shows a negative result. FYI, I am from the Republic of Armenia, and I have never left the U.S. after initially arriving here.

TB exists everywhere, including USA. A TB skin test is a routine health screening test for many health-care workers. I would be surprised if you aren't still required to have this test done. It is easy to do, minimal discomfort, relatively low expense, very low risk of complication. As they say 'Just do it'! :)

Thanks for the input James (or Olya!). That is a good point :).
