Here is the petition I started on the governments website.

Stop ignoring our Nations laws for political gain.

Enforce our immigration laws. Use E-Verify for all employment. Do an E-Verify check on existing employees. Heavily fine ALL the companies that hire illegal immigrants. Stop offering amnesty to people who broke the law and came into our country illegally. If you dry up the work for illegal immigrants they will return home on their own and it will save us the cost of deportation. Secure our borders. Once the Government shows that they can actually do something correct, then work on TRUE reforms to our immigration system. Prove to the people that you work for that it is not just payback for (Democrats) or to win (republicans) the Hispanic Vote. Stop the Sign then read mentality in the Government that is By The People and For The People.

Every legal immigrant in this country should be outraged over this proposal as should everyone here at VJ. Why should the law breakers get special privileges while those who legally immigrate get cornholed with no lube? No wonder the country is in a nose dive.

Absolutely! I can't even begin to put into words how angry I get that they are going to give special privileges to people who entered MY Country illegally, but to bring my husband here legally, the most intimate details of our relationship have been scrutinized - I spent thousands of dollars visiting him while waiting because he was denied a tourist visa (immigration risk - what a joke), and had to provide affidavit of support plus god knows how much documentation from my bank, employer and IRS showing he will not become a public charge.

I'm not complaining about the process (although, I'm tired and worn out waiting on the greencard) But it should be the same for everyone!

People trying to go thru this process the legal way get RFE'd for not submitting enough pictures, not the right proof they are looking for or not the right amount of paycheck stubs - kind of seems ridiculous when none of this will be necessary for the illegals.

So, who is going to provide the illegal's affidavit of support? Oh, ya, me again... more taxes!

Yes spookyturtle, every legal immigrant in this country should be outraged!

That ain't bad. Things have definitely improved from the days when my wife and I went through this process.

Yesthat was quick indeed. I would love for her brother to come visit. I wonder if Filipinos can enter Mexico on a passport. I would love to get him here in time for amnesty.
